    oh dear god, I hope not meeka. cause that will bring back Paranormal Activity flashbacks, and that movie still has me messed up.

    meeca.

    I did interview in Augusta!  I liked it, but my FI thought it was too small a town, and he has a couple other interviews to do before we pick.  It was 103F when we drove in from Atlanta.  Right now I'm in California, highs in the 80s, no humidity.

    Me too! FI asked me to get up and close the bathroom door the other night "so that the water demons wouldn't get me." I don't find jokes like that funny because I think there's some part of me that thinks it could happen. He makes demon jokes way too much.

    You have to admit bucket of crazy the other day deserved what she got right?  I think the hoity toity (not my feelings on you) but the perception of the hoity toity comes from you trying to tell people in that particular thread that we were acting like married hags and being mean.

    The girl deserved it - andplusalso - good advice is given in a nice manner to people with a clue.

  • Shana, I really despise being told what "young ladies" should or shouldn't do - that's where I think the "hoity toity" sounding part comes in.

    yeah, I know what you mean. I won't even let my foot outside the covers because I don't want to feel someone tugging on it.
    the last 20 minutes of that movie have scarred me for life. at night, I won't walk through the house to the kitchen unless I turn on every light along the way.
    ::shudder::
  • Yeah Shana, I think it was the "I can't believe young ladies would use that word" that gave some people the hoity toity impression. Kind of like this:

    I love scary movies, so I'm sure I'll see it. I just hope it's not a POS like the blair witch sequel was.
    btw, Blair Witch messed me up for a long time too. I think it's the whole "you are there" feeling of the two movies. it's hard to distance yourself from it.

    The trailer was enough for me to be freaked out for a week straight, yet still want to see the movie because I cant understand how there is a sequel. Apparently it takes place in the same house and there is a baby, thats all I know. I know already I will regret seeing it, like I did the first time.

  •  I don't come across at all the way I mean, I suppose I will enter (sarcasm) quotations from now on. I wasn't being serious with the whole "young ladies" thing c'mon we were discussing a girl calling another girl a C*nt. About the hag thing, it seemed appropriate in the moment, (almost as appropriate as the C-word). My mistake

  • Emily, that was my first thought too. You just got ripped on by E, so why on earth would you go to a board called Snarky Brides and make a post about getting ripped on by E for "asking advice"? Go to chit chat or something.
