MattsP, that's the hard part.  I prefer everyone at least start out nice to the newbs in case they are real questions because I'd say 95% of them are real people.  It's when it really takes off like that other did that should clue you in.  And of course like Moose said, that chick admitted on page 9 that she was just enjoying getting a rise out of everyone.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and answer (and try to be nice or give them the benefit of the doubt), but it just seems like a lot in the past few days.

    C'est la vie!

Not to get into it too much, OWN, her H basically didn't respect her as a partner and was kind of a A hole (all the time) back in the day. But it's been a while and she has wisely kept her relationship details to herself since then, so for all we know, they're in counseling, etc. Or maybe he's still an A hole, but what are you gonna do, KWIM?

She put the ticker up as soon as she found out on from POAS, I believe.
  • Options
Thanks, Georgia.  I guess I'd have to give their relationship the benefit of the doubt, then.  I don't think there's anything wrong with not saying anything, I suppose, but imo the only appropriate response to someone who is excited about her pregnancy is "Congratulations."

Last week someone posted about how Giselle said that she can't believe American women don't breastfeed more. It's super awesome, it helped her lose the baby weight, and it should be a law that women have to breastfeed. Goldie said she kind of agreed with Giselle. All hell broke loose.

I hope he's been feeding you grapes and massaging your feet, Jess. It's in the blanket dad-to-be contract right underneath midnight ice cream runs.

I really do wish you luck, jessjo.  I hope everything really is wonderful :)  And congrats, of course.

I told him that after I wake up from my daily nap, I should get a foot rub. Hes not convinced yet. He has made a midnight run to the pharmacy though.

Can I get a print out of this? Although, please make it clear that he shouldn't feed me grapes WHILE massaging my feet. Please and thank you.

Although I will say that he massages my feet almost every night, just because :)

"Massage" to Noodle means "half-ass rubbing on Nugget's back until I decide that my hands hurt, so about 5 minutes" so I get mine professionally done.  You are so lucky.

I hate feet, including my own.  If B touched my feet, I'd kick him in the face.  Nothing personal.

Most of the really annoying people left, so there's not much to complain about anymore.  Plus, this week contained one of the funniest threads ever, which I think made everyone lovey and in a good mood.

Why would the amount of time pregnant make a difference when having a ticker?

In general, I just think that it's a good idea to wait until you are a little farther along before you broadcast it.

While I find that a bit insensitive, I'm used to that on this board. Also, there is a difference between posting about it on a message board and telling everyone IRL.
