Tuesday Night

Re: Tuesday Night

  • I used to crack my knuckles in my sleep.

I can't find jewelry to go with the dress I'm wearing to the Hooters girl's wedding. I hate when I have a great dress and can't find the right accessories.
  • My dad was diagnosed with sleep apnea too and has the machine. I think he really does have it. At any rate, he doesn't snore anymore, which makes my mon happy.

<div>Yeah, I do remember needing to go very slow with the machine. I was quite good at it, though. While a lot of the class was just trying to get it over and done with, I actually took my time. I'm not a huge perfectionist - as long as it looks good then i'm happy. And honestly, I like the small flaws that show it was hand made - as long as it doesn't look like crap. I was the only one in my class that actually used the purse I made. </div>
In Response to Re:Tuesday Night: Yes! That's what he self diagnosed himself with via google, haha. He also sometimes acts out his dreams. He used to be big into weight lifting and he'd dream he was doing some sort of exercise with lifting a weight over his head and he'd end up punching himself in the face somehow.

LOL They went through all of the sleep disorders with us at the sleep lab. I think I have Parasomnia along with insomnia.

Poke - DH has sleep apnea, no question. The CPAP has really helped him. I'm sorry your dad went through that. Our insurance covered ours 90%, so it wasn't pricey at all.

    Yes!

It's especially annoying to me, because I rarely get all jazzed up, so when I want to go for it, I want to do it right. Then after like, 158510 stores, I give up and wear the same old crap I always do because nothing else works.

Posted by angelstar975I love diagnosing my problems via Google. Why have a doctor when you have the internet. If it's on the internet, it's true, right? ;But really, I do this and I'm like, "oh, I guess that's what I have" Posted by JessAndTrav
Just a few years ago, I diagnosed myself with kidney failure. Turned out I had a minuscule kidney stone, lol.

I know what you mean about being proud of what you make though. In my costuming class, we had to make a dress shirt from a pattern with a collar, cuffs, buttons and a pocket, and I got a 98.

I don't know that I've ever been so happy to fall only 2 points short of a 100. I was really proud of that shirt. I actually still have it because it was such a big achievement to me.

DH snored terrible. It was like sleeping next to a diesel truck. And, he never had energy. He was always grumpy.

I slept with earplugs for a while and even then I could hear him snoring. He'd wake himself up from the noise.

It's nice that we can both sleep now, his machine is so quiet.

  • Holy crap, it's late. I better get to bed so I can get up decently early for the beach. Night, ladies!

<div>Same here! I'm trying not to revert back to my tried and true pieces, but I just don't like shopping enough to go out and get some new jewelry. Plus, I lost an awesome pair of earrings that would have been perfect with this dress. Shucks. </div><div>
</div><div>I think I better head to bed now. H and I are going to our bank tomorrow to get our accounts combined and new cards made. So fun! Goodnight, ladies :)</div>

<div>My dad DID snore - but it wasn't unbearable. The machine is nice and quiet though. Last time he was home he showed it to us. The mask is uncomfortable for him though. </div>

I won't let myself get the carried away with it, thankfully.

But based on my internet research, a sidenote mentioned in a pharmaceutical commercial and the knowledge of a hormone imbalance I found out about when I was 17, I have come to the conclusion that my allergy to fruits and veggies is based on potassium levels, and I've yet to change my mind on that one. It makes too much sense to me.

    I consider that an internet-diagnosis win. :)
  • Goodnight Angel & Liesel.

Liesel, FTR, we've been married almost 3 years and have yet to combine our accounts only because we just haven't gotten around to it yet.

    Oops.
  • And I think it's time for me to try to get to bed now too. Night ladies!
  • Poke - I happened to see your post before i actually left! She listed Hooters on her wedding invitations as a "place to go in between the ceremony and reception to kill time" - literally, those were the exact words. There are so so SO many options other than Hooters in this town. I had been referring to her as H's cousin's fiance, but Hooters bride stuck with everyone else :)

    Aaand, goodnight!
  • Poke - have him try some different masks. I can look at who we got DHs mask from, they'll let you return it within 30 days and exchange it. He tried 4 before he found one that fit, and he has silcone nose pads he uses. I have the paperwork at the office for the mask company, I can't remember who it is. It's also bookmarked on the desktop. I'll be happy to look it up, they helped us measure his face, asked about sleep styles. We also got a CPAP pillow which DH laughed about, but it is much more comfortable for him because his mask and hose don't get nudged around.

And, that pillow is the most comfortable one in the house. If he gets up before me I steal it. I want one!

G'night all. I have about another hour and then I'm calling it. It's not everything they want, but I'd like to be coherent if I have to speak to this tomorrow!
