i didn't read through all of the posts on here, but i just wanted to put in my 2 cents (even though it may be worth a lot less....)

the point, IMHO, of a moderator is to keep the boards 'clean' from vendors / spam, etc.  it's not to not be able to give their own views.  and yeah, sometimes those are going to be judgey.  we're all judgey - though sometimes it comes out snarkier than intended (or maybe not).

when i read a thread about something, i don't give someone's comment / opinion more weight because they are a moderator.  i don't think 'hey, the moderator shouldn't tell someone they think xyz is tacky.'  i think 'ok, they're entitled to their opinion just like everyone else, though they're being a little b!tchy about it for whatever reason.'

don't know....just wanted to throw that out there.

[QUOTE]Id have to say the drama has went up a level or two lately...nothing like the other boards though.

<div>As I keep reading this thread, I keep slapping my own hands away from the keyboard to stop from saying something, because I really am not active enough on the board to get involved. But I do have to say I completely agree with the comment above.</div><div>
</div><div>When I first discovered The Knot forums, the Vegas board seemed so much more like a community than the others - less drama and just good people trying to share their knowledge and help each other out. </div><div>
</div><div>Lately, the tone does seem to have changed. Without actually being an active member, I still check in daily and there are definitely some people's posts that I always make sure to read, because they remain to be amusing, informative and fun to read. But the overall change in tone has definitely kept me from being as involved as I expected to be as I head into the 3 month stretch before my wedding.</div><div>
</div><div>Again, my opinion probably doesn't matter, but I have never been one to resist getting up on a soapbox.</div><div>
</div><div>I'd love to name names (but won't) - some of you have been AWESOME sources of advice and info throughout the past year of my planning, I hope you all stick around to maintain some of what made this board great. </div>

Aegrish should not be a mod.  This is coming from a mod of 2 other boards.  When you are known all over the Knot interwebs as a shiit stirrer among other not so nice things, you should not be a moderator.  And when there are 5 pages of posts backing that up, Knottie Annie should take notice.
