I haven't read all of both pages but I saw the beginning. I think you have every right to your feelings, it's something you can't control. I had a pair of friends get engaged and pick my same wedding day, just a year later (so my 1 year anniversary) and it pissed me off. I can understand you may feel they're stealing your thunder. HOWEVER, this is nothing you can do about it. You're obligated to be happy and smile through it (unless you want some major family drama right before the wedding).
Why on Earth would this piss you off? It's a year later, not your wedding day. Did you stake a claim to that date for the rest of eternity or something?
I am guessing she expected the date to be "retired" much like professional athletes because she is a "special Hall of Famer" in the wedding world.

    How old are you?
    Just because I don't cuss doesn't mean I'm a baby

Missed the point on that one...  I'm not sorry I was at work during this whole thread.

I use crazy punctuation all the time... Even at work.... I'm not obsessed with a cartoon....

Is no one else outraged that OP referred to the Muppets as a cartoon???

The kids these days don't know f all about the Muppets, its a shame.  I'm assuming she is a kid, because she never confirmed that she is, in fact, over the age of 18.  This is middle school birthday party grade drama.

Because it's an honest feeling that I didn't act upon and kept to myself, and I used this to relate to the OP so they understood it was valid to have those feelings, but to keep them to herself.

Maybe she is thinking of Muppet Babies? I know I was partial to that cartoon when I was a kid.

    >I am outraged by this!!!!!!!!!!!!  How could you not know that?!?!?!?!

Also to the OP, I am glad you took some time to step back and reflect upon your feelings.  I can understand why initally you were upset by what happened.  But everyone will remember you on your wedding day and unfortunatly your sister will just have to learn her own lessons in life.  Good luck to you all and congratulations!
