If you are getting married in August then why are you saying you are aren't engaged...because if you have a date agreed on by BOTH parties then that would make you engaged without a ring... But then planning is okay. So don't get all high and mighty on us by telling us that planning before you are engaged is good...because its not.

I did notice that OP somewhere in one of these random posts used the expression "all of y'all" which is stupid. It's like saying "both of you both".

OP, yes, some people take more than a year to plan their weddings. That's why they have ENGAGEMENTS that last longer than a year. To be dreaming of your wedding day or imagining your wedding day early on is certain normal for most girls. However, actually planning a wedding by picking out dresses and venues and whatnot is inappropriate.

Yeah I retracted and made my peace with everyone about two weeks ago and we are all good. I re read that and realized how ridiculous it was. I was never a lurker and after figuring out how everything worked it turned out fine. I don't really understand why that bothers you but hey whatever.
