Speaking of mosquitos, we have an old broken fountain in the front of our house that is a breeding ground for mosquitos. It was soooo bad last summer, our apartment was invaded by mosquitos every time we opened the door and I had bites all over me (I've always been very attractive to mosquitos). Our terrible property manager of course couldn't manage to do a damn thing about it. It's all starting again and I'm really not looking forward to it.
Good morning! Good morning! I'm in a damn better mood than I was yesterday, let me tell ya. I got to work this morning and all the phones/internet were down, so now I need to go catch up on 3 pages of good morning. But hello! Hi! Howdy!
I'll join you all on the mixtape siggy love. Freaking adorable.
I'm glad to see you all this morning and I hope everyone is safe after the storms.
I had a minor scare of my own yesterday: I went to check on stuff for graduation and found out that my name wasn't on the degree list. This place is nightmarishly bureaucratic, so I thought they weren't going to let me graduate. Thankfully I managed talk them into putting me back on the list and waiving all of the BS late fees!
Rosie- Pffft, YOU stop being so cute first! And, this may or may no be creepy.... But your Fi is hot.
Bay-Aww, I know- I'm so so SO glad I was able to convince FI that we needed them. And, luckily, they were included in our photography package! The best part of our photography is that prices went up the WEEK after we booked WOOOO.
It's storming really hard right now. I have this weird thing where I hate wind. I blame the movie Twister for traumatizing me. Remember when the Dad gets pulled out of the cellar at the beginning of the movie?! Worst.
We had some winds last night and today, but not quite as bad as some of you, and I slept through it all.
I am so ready for the weekend. This is just one of those weeks where I am annoyed by everyone in my group (almost everyone) and I can't ignore them because I am the Team Lead now. Usually I'd plug in my iPod to block them all out but Team Leads and Supervisors aren't allowed to do that.

You should get some of those mosquito dunk thingys and drop them in the fountain. They are supposed to be environmentally friendly, but they kill the larvae before they hatch.

I think I am in a little better mood today since things are going to work out with the apt. And sleeping on an air mattress is really comfy when you are so freaking exhausted.
It stormed and hailed here last night, so I am dreading going out to see if there is any damage to my car. Today I have to go over to the hell hole apt and get a few more things out of there, but I am not busting my as$ like the past 2 days b/c they are tearing out the ceilings today.

I saw this yesterday on FB. I was freaking out FOR you! I am so glad it worked out!
Matilda, I'll look into that. I bought some stuff to spread on the ground that's supposed to keep them away last year and I'm not sure it worked. Plus I'm just mad at my property manager, he kept saying he was going to call an exterminator to do something about it and he never did anything. He's incredibly unreliable and it pisses me off. I'm sure you understand with the air conditioner business you're dealing with.

Wait? What's going on? What'd I miss about your apartment?
LDY, I took that for awhile. Do you think it tastes like a gross breath mint? Because I did.
I can't wait until I'm off BCP. I don't know why, I just feel like I'll have this huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. It's probably just the fear of getting pregnant right now that bothers me.
I do only have to pay $35 for a 90 day supply though. Yay generic!
I'm glad everything worked out for you Opal! I was "accidentally" dropped from all of my classes for second semester Senior year of college. Some only had a certain # of spots, so I totally freaked out because I was afraid I was going to lose my spot. Luckily all of the classes that I needed to graduate automatically held my spot and I was able to beg myself back in to the other classes that had replaced me.
I say "accidentally" because it wasn't an accident on the university's part. My mom forgot to pay my tuition (after 10 years of paying my brother and my's tuition) and so they kicked me out. I had a bad day at the registrars office on my first day back from winter break.
Birdie, I never chew it, but I've let it sit in my mouth for a few seconds before and it's definitely a weird mint flavor. I've got the generic now (that I didn't even know they made - and isn't any cheaper?) and it doesn't have a very minty taste to it, thankfully.
The beginning of Twister IS sad, Rosie. But then there are flying cows! Plus I think Bill Paxton is so effing hot in that movie. I dont know what it is, but I think he's one of the sexiest old guys ever. I'm weird.
Waltz - your lives should STOP when I'm not around. I can't handle the catch up game!
Stacks, I decorated a bulletin board in high school once for spring. I covered it in blue, cut out a tree with green leaves, but then the grass, I cut a length of green and feathered it so it was kind of ruffly and stood out from the board.
I did the same thing with the flowers. I made hyacinths (made rows of cut strips, curled them downwards), daffodils (the cones stuck out), tulips (some of the petals suck out or hung down), etc.
I loved it, because it was 3-D. For your picnic basket, you could weave strips of brown paper, and a blanket, weave bigger strips of red and white. Stick a flattened juice box up there, and maybe a cracker box or something.
Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
Oh, Stacks. It is a big effing disaster. On Monday morning, I was getting ready to go to the gym when I heard water. Long story short, the hot water tank in the apt above us broke and leaked all of its water down. There is a huge crack in the ceiling, I grabbed buckets and they filled up so effing quickly. If I wasn't home, we would have lost everything. I got the end tables into our bedroom (the only room that wasn't effected) and pushed things out of the way. I had to call H home it was so bad.
I would say we got about 2 inches of water in the place. It smells like nasty a$s, mold & mildew in there. And I have been working in there the past 2 days trying to get stuff out. They probably aren't replacing the carpet, but I don't care b/c they are letting us out of the lease early. We were going to get an atty b/c they were fighting us for that even though the lease terms have a clause in there for "extensive damage" that either party can terminate the lease. On Tuesday, they weren't buying it. But yesterday when I got over there, they had a letter for us and were going to let us out of the lease early.
Thank God our friend from church is letting us use her garage as storage until we move. They don't park their cars in there and she welcomes the company b/c her hubby is gone to Afghanistan for a year. And we will stay with her, too. I am moving in 2 weeks and Mike will probably move back Memorial weekend b/c they have a project going on he wants to stay through.
