We are using "spend my life with you" by Eric Benet and Tamia.  It's really pretty and romantic and says all the right things.

"Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillet.  It's totally new, but it has a little of an "old" feel to it. :)

    Our final 5 are:
    Jack Johnson Banana Pancakes
    "                "     Better Together
    Beatles Real Love
UB40 Can't Help Falling in Love
    Bob Marley Is This Love

She and Him (Zooey DeChanel's band) does a great cover of the Beatles Should Have Known Better.

I think we're going to walk back up the aisle to "Two Step".  That would be our first dance but i think it's too long.

We are having my brother (who is a self-taught musician and very creative) and my sister-in-law sing and play our first dance song - Ronan Keating's When You Say Nothing at All.  It's a very personal touch and such a beautiful song, we couldn't have picked a more perfect song for the two of us :)  I guess it really helps that we absolutely love Notting Hill (it's on the soundtrack)!

My fiance and I are super duper odd! We listen to pretty much everything but the majority of our music, aside from many traditional Arabic dance tunes, will comprise of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and all of the other classic crooners! We're seriously considering Tony Bennett's version of "It had to be you". This, after much convincing on my part that "Big Pimpin'" probably didn't represent us very well over all and that "I'm too sexy" maybe wasn't the best song choice when we walked in! Ahahaha :P

We're going with "Ever the Same" by Rob Thomas.  He wrote it while his wife was really sick and getting diagnosed with lupus, about how they stand by each other, and I've spent the past 10 years getting diagnosed with celiac disease (at least, I hope that's the final solution).

Actually I'm dying to have Rob Thomas come sing it, but I have no contacts in the music industry, and he would have to do it relatively cheaply (ideally for free!)

Now, just to get my fiance to actually get up and dance with me....

I wishi I would have seen this sooner! For our song we are using A song called Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen (It's from the movie Swimg kids and we are learning to swing dance right now!! ) by Janis Siegel. If we weren't using that song I really love the Dave Mathews Band Song You and Me off their new album. I hope you had a great wedding!!!

We are dancing to Everything by Michael Buble - the lyrics are perfect!

Our choice is either "Your Song" (also fell in love with Moulin Rouge, but we're using the Elton John version), or "Tell Me You Love Me" from Phantom, or "The One" by Elton John, either of which should be easy to waltz to. I'm getting a tape of beautiful wedding harp music for the event, so that might change things up a bit. Then move on to softer love music which we like, then fun music, like Queen - "Ooh, You Make me Live", etc and Madonna: "Love Profusion", etc.

We're dancing to "History in the Making" by Darius Rucker. Listen to the words, it's a really good song.

I also like Gavin Degraw's "Follow Through", "True Companion" by Mark Cohn and "Steady as we go" by Dave Matthews.

    Good luck!

I am walking down the Aisle to mine and my husband's love song to each other, which is Darius Rucker's "History in thr Making."  It's considered country, but there's not a whole lot of anything country about it to me.  Our first dance is going to "God Gave Me You" by Dave Barnes followed by "Everything" by Michael Buble.

A few other suggestions for you may be "I Don't Wanna Go" by Avalon, "When I See You Smile" by Bad English (since you both seem to like rock), "Hanging By A Moment" and "You and Me" by Lifehouse, and "Close to You" by BeBe and CeCe Winans.  If you can't decide on words but are still going for something slow, elegant, and timeless, "The Wedding Song" by Kenny G is good.  He also does a song with Pebo Bryson called "By the Time This Night is Over" which is absolutely gorgeous.

I hope this helps and I pray God will bless and guide your union today and always.  Best of luck to you my dear. :)
