Well, luckily (?) I work at a job where I wear a mask and a hair bonnet every day. Don't think I didn't chose that on purpose. No one sees my hair or my face all day.

And the funny thing is I LOVE to buy makeup. Love it. I have a ton. Maybe I'll try to put some on to impress Andy on Monday. I'll probably just end up looking like a hooker.

I buy way too many hair products, but they never work - or I dont know how to use them. I'm sure it's the latter.

My H really likes the look of dark red lipstick. I tried it once, but I felt like a little girl who was playing in mommy's make-up. I thought I looked ridiculous.

Oh, dear, Nugget. How dare Noodle laugh at you! But I must admit, the story made me giggle. More than once.

I love playing with makeup. I hate wearing mascara, though in the springtime (allergies), and I'm just as comfortable going to the store, etc. without it than with it. In fact, I don't wear it at all on the weekends unless I'm getting my hair done (I hate sitting there staring into the mirror) or J and I are having a date night.

Cengle, my FI likes when I wear lipstick too. I wore bright red lipstick out to dinner the other night and I was paranoid and thought people were looking at me funny the whole time.

For the entire year that I worked at the crazy drunk law firm, I can count on one hand the number of times I wore makeup. Now that my employers seem to give a shiit what I look like, I do my makeup and hair every day.

I have more makeup than I should own considering I wear it maybe (MAYBE) twice a month. But I just got this totally awesome red lipstick and gloss combo from MAC. And I love it. But it's RED.

Maybe I'll wear it to Shout House this month. IF I GO.

LC, apparently if you wear a red with yellow/orange undertones it can make your teeth look yellow, and if you wear one with blue undertones it will make your teeth look whiter.

And I think its kind of weird my FI likes me in lipstick. He also thinks it would be cool if I wore gloves for fashion purposes, like they did in the 40's or something so he is just not normal when it comes to this stuff.

I'm coming into this super-late, but:

1) J&K, I'm like you- I wash every other day, and condition every day.Works for me. My hair has been behaving pretty well lately, especially since I stopped straightening it.

2) I RARELY wear make-up. FI hates it, and I'm so lazy I just never bother. But, I just got home from the drugstore where I bought some pore-minimizing wash-stuff (We'll see if it works) and some concealer. Apparently, I'm too pale to match any concealer very well. The one I got is just meh. Sigh.

I know its strange. He also gchatted me the other day out of the blue to say that he needed to stop wearing all of his skinny ties and start dressing more like a "suave European diplomat." I usually just smile and nod.

Speaking of Diplomat - we have a property here called The Diplomat. I got a call today from a fella who said he wanted to live at the diploma. I said, do you mean the Diplomat? He said "No, the diploma, like the thing you get if you graduate high school"...then I asked him to spell it. Diplomat. *sigh*

I'm a twice a week girl too. More often and it turns all weird and straw-like.

I use a boar-bristle brush to spread out the oil between washings, and the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo to absorb it when it gets bad. I ran out one time and used cornstarch instead. It worked but took a shitton of brushing to get it to where I couldn't see it.
