Our animal/mascot was a penguin.  I was in Phi Sigma Rho as was Kate#s and DoctaVeggie.  We've talked about it on here before.  The way that seesaw said it, I thought she was telling me that she was, too.  That's all.  Moving on.

Seesaw, my mom got an iPad thinking it would be more like a computer than it is. She basically just uses it as an eReader now. I wouldn't mind having one just to play around with, though.

Edit: I meant to also say: I see why you're disappointed in it if you meant for it to be like a computer.

  • Since enough of you lurked on the CW thread, I have a flame related to that. ElisabethJoanne showed up to talk about how Harvard's Journal of Law and Public Policy was not affiliated with Harvard at all and that it was peer reviewed. It kind of pissed me off because she clearly doesn't know what she is talking about and I wish people would actually think before speaking sometimes. Especially in that instance because she was dead wrong.

  • I seem to remember EJ doing something specifically terrible but can't remember what. I'm looking now but my TK memory is horrid.
  • I know people generally don't give a fuuuck what happens on the smaller boards, but I just read this on Just Engaged & Proposals:

"If the girlfriend proposes, it's weird and shows that she's way too controlling. Women are more emotional and they're naturally going to want to get married before their fiance. Wait until HE is ready to get married. If you start off like that, then YOU'RE making the relationship happen, and you'll never know if he truly wanted to marry you. Let him be the man and handle that. So many women want it both ways. They want the man to treat them like a lady, but they want to wear the pants too. If she buys him a ring, that's also weird, and I would wonder about a guy who accepts an engagement ring from a girl. And if she wants to be the "man" and propose to him, then no, she shouldn't get a ring too. I've heard of stories of "She proposed to Him". I saw it on a VH1 show called "Love and Hip Hop", a woman named Chrissy proposed to a rapper named Jim Jones. It was strange. "

I flame the shiiit out of that.
