Who was your photog, musu?

ETA: ours have completely exploded since we used them too. They're book every Saturday this summer, almost every Friday and a lot of Sundays. I'm glad we snagged them while they were cheap

My first ASL class had a deaf teacher, and everyone thought they were so smart by covering their mouths when they talked and she wouldn't notice. She definitely did and one day she got fed up and started screaming at us. That was the one and only time she used her voice in class. </div>

<div>My grandfather was in the Army and some of the stuff my grandmother did solo while he was deployed (driving from MI to CA and taking a boat to Japan with 4 kids, other relocations, single parenting while he was gone, etc) were unheard of for a woman in that time (50's and 60's). She has told me how "it was just what needed to be done, so I did it. Her FIL told her she couldn't drive 4 kids to CA and go to Japan alone - and she said she told him, her husband was in Japan, and that's where she needed to be, so she was going to do it. In that time with the family expectations and traditional roles, I'm amazed at her. She is a hero to me. Today - I don't think it's that big a deal for women to manage things alone. There's not a stigma attached to it anymore. KWIM?</div>

Troy with Pixelposey Photography. I don't even remember how I found him, actually. I think i was just perusing the internet for a photographer and fell in love with his work. The reason I REALLY loved him though, aside from his talent, was that he was the complete opposite of what I expected from a photographer. He looks more like he'd be a bartender at a biker bar. haha. He and my mom shared stories over beer (when we met before the wedding for a final run through) about their experiences taking mushrooms. He was just so chill and awesome.

I think she wanted to keep the class in the dark about her hearing status, kind of like an honor code, maybe? I am not sure. Every other ASL teacher I had was deaf though, and they were pretty good at catching people talking. Never caught any phones ringing though, obviously.

Lol, I bet. Do you usually just use vibrate? There are a lot of random things that we (my classmates and I) would ask our ASL teachers about that we'd always wondered about when it comes to logistics in every day things.

ETA: Every day things like, alarm clocks and stuff.

Yeah, I just keep it on vibrate all the time. When I was working I was really good about keeping it with me all the time so I could feel it vibrate when I was on call or whatever, but now that I'm not working I've been really bad about leaving it laying somewhere all day and not checking it. Oops. I'm starting a new job soon though so hopefully I will get better about it then.

I keep my phone on vibrate most of the time. I hate ringtones. I rarely ever have my phone on anything but vibrate. I also hate answering my phone at all, so there's that. hah.

My photog was free cause I won a contest (that I heard about here) and I really like a lot of my photos, but I LOVED the photog who did my b-pics session and kind of wished I'd paid for my photographer instead of just going with the free one. We did an e-session (included in the contest) and were happy enough with her work, but the difference between her and the woman who did my b-pics was huge. The price tag difference was huge too and we were on a budget so I'm not sure I ACTUALLY would have done anything different, but... I still second guess that one sometimes.
