I liked Paranormal Activity so I'll definitely go see the sequel. Buried though... I dunno. I'm slightly claustrophobic and just the idea of an entire movie taking place in an underground coffin kinda creeps the shiit outta me.

ditto on the claustrophobia thing. I have a bit of it, too. the part in Kill Bill 2 where she gets buried alive stressed me out.
PA2 apparently has a dog and a baby. typically, animals die in scary movies, so that's one of the main reasons I don't wanna see it :(
I doubt anything will happen to the baby. that'd be too much.
In Response to Re: can we talk about : the last, like, 20 minutes of it were super creepy. the last two minutes almost made me poop my pants. I still don't like going to bed by myself, if H happens to want to stay up later than me.

This actually makes me anxious to see it. I haven't been truly scared by a movie in a very long time.
I actually quite like a few of his movies, signs, the village and the sixth sense were really good IMO. Signs is one of those movies I can watch again and again and not get sick of. IM INSANE WITH ANGER!!

Just popping in to say, I teach Signs in my film course. And I get to see it over and over :)

you'll probably see it and think I'm a wimp :) I was also truly freaked out by the blair witch project, if that tells you anything. I'm usually scared by movies that other people aren't, and I'm not scared by movies that other people are.
    if that even makes sense.
  • Well, since we've moved to movies, my favorite M. Night movie is the Village. Sixth Sense was only decent the first time I watched it. Hated signs. Lady in the Water was okay. I have 2 friends who LOVE Unbreakable, but I haven't seen it.
Let Me In is a remake. I have the original on my netflix. I might watch that one first to see if the new one is worth seeing.
    Posted by jasmineh7777
Someone needs to see this and tell me. I read the book, but it's a Swedish-English translation that reads like a translation, if that makes sense. I hated it. But my students said the (original) film version was good.
In Response to Re: can we talk about : Good to know. That bad huh? DH was just asking what new scary movies are coming out. We were thinking Case 39, or Let Me In.
    Posted by kd.joseph
Is that the remake of Let the Right One In? Because that movie was decent. I'm not a horror movie fan, but it's not that scary. Just good.

  • I actually really liked the happening but I love disaster survival of the fittest death and destruction type of movies.
Well if people were willing to track an IP address, which I think they said was something like 90 minutes from her hometown or something to that affect, I would definitely be deleting my facebook friends. My facebook has my last name, town, etc. I wouldn't give people access to that info. in light of the way those conversations went. I'm not looking for anyone to agree with me. I'm saying I can understand her reaction.
    Posted by jasmineh7777
She's admitted what her hometown is on TK. There was really no info that anyone had that she hasn't admitted here herself. Using personal info from FB or anything is NOT okay. And I'd be surprised if anyone here has their home address on FB.

Yup. Churchill is a blast! They started doing night racing last year and it's particularly fun. That starts up again in Nov.

  • Awww man!! I was going to ask about Mrs before I left work, and I didn't!! RATS!!! Oh well...peace and blessings to her!
And the whole time, my future husband was in the room...... image image
  • I LOVED Signs, The Last Exorcism, Paranormal Activity, and Piranha 3D. I also really, really liked the Sixth Sense.

I think the reason Blair Witch didn't do it for me is because I'd heard too much about it ahead of time.

I don't really care if futuremrs is the call out person or not. Her stupid "I'm doing this to teach you a lesson" shtick was grating, but then again so was she. It's not like she was particularly likeable to begin with. I imagine I ight be more taken aback if it was someone I had really liked, but I find I'm just not getting it up for this hate train. She just provided the platform. She didn't put a gun to people's head and make them play. Does she suck? Sure. But I don't think she's the monster everyone wants to make her be. She's just some f*ckstick that could benefit from her life not revolving around theknot.com
