When I was in college, I lived in the dorm & ate from the cafeteria or the "grocery" attached to the cafeteria every day. (Meal plan came with my scholarship.) The food wasn't stellar, so I ended up eating pretty much the same stuff over and over.
Did you? What was it? Do you still eat that now? Any new repetitive food patterns?

Re: Food
Then I lived on Papa John's breadsticks for a while.
I never eat either anymore, but not because I'm sick of it or anything, just not stuff I buy/eat now I guess.
Lunch daily: pulled pork BBQ sandwich, 2 sodas, and a mini recees cup. (That totalled the "value" of my lunch at the grocery.)
Dinner: Canned soup from the grocery, more bbq, chicken strips on Wednesdays.
Snack: CheezeIts.
I still LOVE CheezeIts, pulled pork BBQ, and soda.

Nowadays, I try to eat better, and try to cut back on takeout. But I still eat a lot of chicken. FI and I eat some meal involving chicken probably three days out of the week.

Perkins Breadbowls
Easy Mac
Ramen
Rice. Lots of rice.
Hot dogs. Lots of hotdogs.
Booze. Lots of booze. (orange frutopia and vodka to be exact. And Busch Lite or Schmidttys.) CLASSY.
Also, I had a lot of soft pretzels.
And subway.
No wonder I gained weight, huh?
Now, I just eat healthier, but I still tend to eat the same things over and over. I get in ruts. I eat a lot of healthy choice steamers right now. But if we go out to eat, I'll usually get the same thing I usually get wherever we go. I eat a lot of cereal. And fruits and veggies.

And I lived RIGHT NEXT to a Taco Bell my junior and senior year. It was just WAY too convenient.

I don't think Papa John's exists up here. Sad. I actually like it. There's other good pizza, but sometimes it's nice to just have what you know.
LVB, I don't think I've ever had Hamburger Helper. Huh.

My entire sophmore year I lived off of rice krispies and frosted flakes mixed together with milk. I lost a lot of weight that year.
After that I moved off campus and cooked real food most of the time.
My second year I moved to an apartment by myself, and worked full time evenings at Red Lobster. I lived off fish, salmon to be specific. I ate it every night that I worked (5 evenings of the week). When I cooked at home it was almost always chicken stirfry.
I snack more now than I did then.
I've become really picky about prepackaged food since college. I hate biting into a piece of chicken and realizing it's that shredded preformed stuff. And hamburger helper grosses me out nowadays.
I still love ramen in all its nutrition-free goodness.
I haven't had a Belgian waffle like that since.

But for a long time the only things I knew how to make where mac and cheese, tacos, spaghetti, and hot dogs.
In graduate school, my mom came out one weekend and cooked and froze about a zillion meals for me, cut them up into individual servings in those square plastic containers, and put them in my freezer so all I had to do was take one out and warm it up. She's the best. I recall walking to Omalias on more than one occasion to get baked BBQ lays, too. I was SO POOR in grad school. It was awesome.

And, what is a Perkins Breadbowl?
Baystate, we eat a lot of chicken too. H is PICKY. Before we started dating, his dinners consisted of pasta with sauce out of a jar; chicken stirfry; canned soup. His lunches were hot dogs, turkey sandwiches, or plain canned tuna sandwiches. With baked Lays. I make him branch out more now.
LVB, I can't remember if it's 5k or 6k. How's the job?

$1 BK Whoppers
$3.50 chicken fried rice from some place in the hood
$2 Subway meatball sub when it was on special
$5 large cheese pizza from "Gumbys" on Wednesday lol
$5 burger from Fuddruckers once a week when we all splurged
other than that lots of pasta and sauce, tuna helper, those $1 Lipton pasta bags you just boil and add some milk to if they're cheese based, microwave frozen things lol, good times.

Now I eat nicely proportioned balanced meals. Every meal has to have something of color on it for a veggie or fruit - and I like my food to be pretty and not from a can.
Pasta with marinara or vodka sauce
Stir-fry
Indian food (chicken breast, spinach, and other veggies with canned tikka masala or something similar)
I got my friend's community supported agriculture share (basically a huge bag of vegetables) this week and I've been making some awesome healthy things lately.
We lived off chicken noodle soup, cucumbers, homemade pizza subs, kraft dinner, ichiban (ramen), green beans, mushroom rice (poor man's risotto), fish sticks, chicken breasts in shake n bake, pancakes, egg sandwiches.
I rarely eat any of that stuff now aside from green beans.
I frequented "Jenny's" downstairs in the hair school building. She had the best turkey bagel sandwiches. Her lunch specials were questionable though.

Fishy -- your mom sounds like a complete sweetheart.
Oh yeah, and college was never college without 2 AM drives to the crappy 24-hour coffee and donut place, where they always screwed up your order. But you went there because NOTHING ELSE was open at 2 AM when you had just finished your term paper. Oh, college...

Wendy's (it was right down the street)
Chick Fil A
Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas
Subway
DP Dough (late at night, obviously)
Little Ceasar's (it was only $5 and ready to eat!)
Now:
Chicken Voila frozen bagged meals
Baked chicken a number of ways and rice
Pierogies
spaghetti and marinara sauce
tacos
tuna helper
Yeah, we're pretty boring when it comes to food.

PUKE.
Mark loves it, which is weird, because he won't eat spaghetti sauce with ground beef...but he'll eat shiit from a box with ground beef. It still baffles me.

We had a Gumby's too!! Their pizza sucked, but we had Two Pokey Stick Tuesdays, so a group of us would pitch in and order two larges and that would be food for the next couple of days. Unrefrigerated, of course.
I also ate a lot of ramen and popcorn. I hated the single serve mac n cheese so none of that. My meal plan only covered enough for me to eat twice a day, with the exception of Sunday. So I generally ate lunch and dinner only. I had a hard enough time getting up for an 8am class, no way in hell I was going to work in extra time for breakfast.
I stayed in dorms for all four years (campus was big enough on it's own, no need to increase my walk by moving off), and the last two were spent in dorms that had a not very good caf. I ate a loooot of sandwiches. Lot. Oh, and desert. I always had desert.

I guess I do the same now and always have. I make varied meals that are complete with fruit and/or veggies. I was lucky in college.
Pierogies Posted by FutureMrsTR
Oh I forgot how much I love pierogies... I of course get the premade ones but I boil them and THEN sautee them.
I need to start a shopping list.
Mandy teases me because I spell it pierogi. But that's the RIGHT WAY.
