Good day to you!

Re: Good day to you!

• I don't even think they'll get far with the theater---I mean, what movie theatre has a metal detector, kwim? The only person to blame is the guy who did it.

Speaking of cookies, someone posted a recipe of chocolate chip cookies with REECE CUPS inside of them. I hate my dairy intolerance.

• Adamar, it should be fine. Just thaw it in the fridge. My mom freezes her pizza dough and has never had a problem with it.
• There is a part of me that hopes they reserve a little part of jail hell for him and he has to be a cell mate with Sandusky.

If they gen pop him, he'll be killed. I'm not saying he deserves to live, but the families and friends deserve answers.

He is suing the theater because he feels the theater is liable for having the emergency door in the front without an alarm and "unguarded." He is suing the suspect's doctors because they didnt do enough to properly treat the suspect. He is suing WB for producing Dark Knight Rises, which he claims is violent and lead the patrons to be dazed when the shooting happened. His friend was one of the people who died, so I imagine he is genuinely suffering from emotional trauma. But suing Warner Brothers isnt going to help.

LTB, the cookies are chocolate chip. I am looking forward to popping a few in the microwave later to melt them a bit.

ETA: I also think the suspect's doctors failed to treat whatever mental illness he has, and I think his family failed to encourage treatment. I dont think that suing them will be advantageous either.

[QUOTE]Am I weird for wondering how his fellow prisoners will treat him? Like, will he be allowed in gen-pop? If so, would they consider what he did to be so horrible that he'd get his ass beat constantly?

It'll probably depend on whether or not he gets the death penalty. I know that CO hasn't used it in decades, but Oklahoma hadn't used it in a long time when they opted to execute Timothy McVey.

If he gets the DP, I would think that he'd be in death row facility, if they have one. That's how it works in Texas. Those on DR in Texas stay in the "Walls Unit" in Huntsville (the city I lived in when I was in college) and I believe that they have individual cells and don't get many freedoms to be with the others.
• I'm not worried about the thawing part, I'm more concerned that the dough will continue to rise or something between Thursday when I roll it out and get it in the muffin tins and Friday when I bake it, and I'll end up with MONSTER buffalo cupcakes.

Just the pizza dough, or do you mean make them, freeze them, and then thaw and bake Friday?

I heard on the radio this morning that for now, he is being held in solitary confinement at a womens facility because he had too many threats against at the mens prison. If he's convicted though, I think they would have to eventually send him to the mens prison so I don't know what they would do at that point. I imagine that if he gets life in prison that he would have to be allowed in to the general population at some point.

I agree 100% with this. I get that people are looking for answers because that's what they need, but suing people isn't the answer, because they didn't do it. Just the douchecanoe that shot the gun.
• I know from watching all my prison reality shows that Sandusky would have to be in isolation since child molesters are considered the lowest of the low. Add to that his high profile case and I bet people would just be itching to get a piece of him.

If the CO prison system is anything like what we have in TX, and he doesn't get the DP, he'll most likely be kept in the highest security prison they have, and keep him in solitary the whole time. It's not unheard of.
• I'm pretty excited about them, Midge.

Aryn, I have to assume you're right otherwise giant blobs of dough would have taken over the earth by now. I've only made dough a couple of times, though, so I'm still pretty inexperienced with it.

[QUOTE]He is suing the theater because he feels the theater is liable for having the emergency door in the front without an alarm and "unguarded." Well he should take that up with the city then, because it will be their by-laws that required that emergency exit placed at the front of the theatre, not the theatre itself. Fail.

He is suing the suspect's doctors because they didnt do enough to properly treat the suspect.
This wont get far. Doctors can't live with a patient 100% of the time, nor are the telephatic and know when a psycho is going to go on a shooting rampage.

He is suing WB for producing Dark Knight Rises, which he claims is violent and lead the patrons to be dazed when the shooting happened. If it's such an awful and violent movie, why was he there participating?

• Just the dough Adamar. If you roll the dough up in a ball and freeze it then it should only take a couple hours to thaw on the counter to room temperature. We used to buy frozen dough at the store all the time before I started making my own.
imageBabyFruit Ticker
• I'm not sure you'd even need to freeze the dough if you're using it this week. You could just wrap it up and keep it in the fridge so you wouldn't even need to worry about the thawing process.

Yeah, I'm not a baker but I seem to recall something about yeast being inactive in cold. So if you freeze and then thaw in the fridge it should be fine.

I want to start baking more. I have so many recipes for cookies and such that I want to try but never get around to doing it. Maybe that should be my new weekend activity is baking something. Baking is just so much work and I really don't need all those delicious calories sitting around to tempt me.

I didn't see it but heard he seemed kinda loopy and drowsy. I will start by saying I don't feel bad for him but I was wondering if he's gotten any sleep at all. I can imagine he's had lawyers in and out, guards pestering him (I mean, I would) and then adrenaline going.

I would certainly hope that nobody buys into that shiiit. Insane or not, this guy has no excuse for doing something so heinous.
• I don't think he will either.

YAY, A LAWYER. I have a question. When you talk insanity, what are the grounds you need? I mean...people who commit senseless murders obviously aren't all with it, and are suffering from SOMETHING, ya know? Where do they draw the line?

All I know is from what I've seen in movies. :)
