I grew up in Fort Smith and I think my mom was really hoping I would have my wedding up there but I knew that would have been a planning nightmare for me- I live and work in LR! We are getting married here in Little Rock.

I'm here and watching Judge Judy. I am also working on my wedding to do list. I have the church, venue and caterer booked. I have my gown and have decided to make my own bouquets and bouts...Next on the list are the STDs (which reminds me, FI and I need to do engagement pics!) which go out and of August. Then the photog, DJ and maybe a videographer.

I'm so afraid I'm going to forget something because I have to do most of my stuff between semesters.

I just need to chill.

Edit: a reminder that I need to chill.

Hi!

Angel - I love your pics. You have a great photographer.

I won a contest so my photography was free - 6 hours of her and her assistant, digital rights to the photos and an e-session. I just had to pay for pictures (we did most of them from Shutterfly, but bought a couple from her and gave her a nice tip since the rest was included in the contest).

Brandi - I don't let myself house shop cause we won't be ready to buy until next spring so I know anything I find now that's awesome will not be on the market still in 9 months.

Yeah, I'm just hung up on a few things. I'd prefer to put 10% down and I'd also like to know that we will for sure be there for 5 years or more. We are wanting to move to NWA eventually and if FI gets a job right out of school (HS History teacher) that could be sooner than 5 years.

We have a house. Well, FI bought it well before I met him. I love the place but it needs some updating. I love to torture myself by looking at pics of new homes and drooling over the kitchen I want to have one day. Suffice it to say, when we get to that part of the update there will be demolition of a wall involved.

OTOH, we are almost finished with the update to the master bath.

Is to a bad thing to want to paint the walkin closet (which is off of the bathroom) a coordinating shade to the bathroom?

I hope my expectations aren't above what we'll ever be able to afford. With rates so low right now it wouldn't be an issue, but if they go back to 7% we'd have to sacrifice on the home a bit.

I can't wait until we buy our first house. Right now we live in my parents old house, and without going into a long boring story, we don't want to change much on it since it's not "our" house. Although I'm sure headaches come with ownership, it'll definitely be nice to have our first home!
