Really Early Evening Thread

Re: Really Early Evening Thread

  • I'm good, slowly getting ready for H to get home.  Finally.  But of course not soon enough.  I'm happy you found a home for your kitty!  What else is new?

  • We registered for a Dyson, but we are probably gonna end up using gift cards to get it.  I really want the Pet one because of my furbabies and their shedding.

<div>I love my elf eyelid primer under my eyeshadow! I mainly use Ulta brand eyeshadow and I love it. I also love the Ulta cream blush.</div>

  • Musu: when H lived with his parents they closed one of the 4 bridges over the river.  Traffic became unbearable on the other three bridges.  It has since reopened and traffic is still bad.  It was like the people who had to switch never went back.

    Good luck!
  • Tex, that is the one we have. It's really good.

Bobbi Brown! Best eyeshadows and blush. It's high pigment stuff so you don't have to use a ton of it for the right effect. And the eyeshadow is really silky, I have hooded lids and I never get creases with their shadows, even the cream shadow. I love it!

    Ulta and Urban Decay...noted.

    Thanks!!!

    What about MAC?   Any good?

EDIT: adding Bobby Brown to the list of things to checkout.
  • Hockey, I adore my Dyson too.  I'll take vacuuming, dusting & kitchen over laundry and windows any day of the week.  I'll even scrub toilets to avoid doing laundry.

Oh Lizzie, you should also check out Sephora's airbrush brushes.  I bought the set that includes a couple of eyeshadow brushes, concealer brush & foundation brush.  LOVE them.

  • We have the Dyson Animal and I love it.  I actually enjoy vacuuming more now.  But it doesn't necessarily make me do it any more often.

  • Also, hi everyone. I'm still having a pretty awful day, H is really upsetting me. But I got to meet some congressmen today and hang out with the House Majority Leader for a bit so I feel fancy. Then a smarmy dude hit on me, which was not cool. Whatever.
  • I have a dyson too but I'm severely allergic to dust so it's miserable for me. My allergist told me I shouldnt even be in the house while it gets vacuumed because it's so bad. But I still do it since I'm home alone most of the time. Wally and tex there is a detour and I already know it, but it means going thru a residential neighborhood and then a downtown of a town and the speed limit that whole way is 25 mph in one lane which, with the addition of all the rerouted traffic, will probably add at least 20 min or more to my 45 min commute. Fuckthat. I will probably go backwards a little and try two other routes that I know of that are back highways and most people might not think to take. We'll see.

  • Our wood floors are really, really dark and Glinda kitty is really, really light. Sigh. Not such a good combo. I swear we should be able to make another cat from all of her shedding.

  • Musu I didn't realize you had such a big commute. I hate driving the same route over and over, I could never do a long commute like that. Unless I could take a train. I like trains these days.
  • I'm excited about getting it.  I've wanted one for a long time.

I have a white cat that sheds like CRAZY! There's this brush called the Furminator and it has really helped with her shedding it clears out the undercoat and makes her super silky. I highly recommend it!
  • not much beachy.  i'm seriously considering apply for my old job.  trying to decide...

  • Sorry your upset with H Leisal.  I hope he knocks off whatever he's doing quickly.  Very cool about your day though (except the creepy dude)!

<div>We just got one about 10 days ago! And it does help immensely. I about croaked when H told me what it cost,  but so far it seems worth it. And, now that I super-cleaned for the big party, I think we will really see the benefit of the Furminator. Most of what I cleaned was likely from before we got that brush.</div>

  • Paisley has dark fur and we have light carpets.  It's (her fur) everywhere.

It definitely helps if you keep up with it. I stopped using it for like a month just because I forgot, and her white fur was flying everywhere. Literally, she'd jump and a cloud of hair was behind her. It was creepy but also kind of cute, haha.
  • Those are gorgeous Meg!

  • Leisel during the school year I can get it close to a half hour since I leave for class after rush hour but yeah, right now leaving for work during rush hour it's a longer one. I live in WI and in this area, MN and WI are only bordered by water and there are only two bridges to get across around here. One near where i am, which is closing, and then another that is 15 miles south. So no matter what, I have to go 15 extra miles to get across the bridge than i normally would.

  • Meg, PRETTY!

MuSu that detour sounds hideous. Ick.

Leisel, bummer on tension with H. (HUG)

Anyone know what's on the Olympics tonight?

  • Yeah ok meg those are awesome.

</div><div>I registered for the Dyson pet model too. Fingers crossed. We will also be carpeting the house next year. </div>

    </div><div>Yes. Yes I do. GORGEOUS!

  • Meg, those are beautiful!

I'm sometimes saddened that I won't get the stuff from my registry now. Materialistic, party of me. I really wanted the china, the air purifier, and the mini steam cleaner for the couches.
  • Glo, I didn't get as far as the registry the first time but I'm sure I would have felt the same as you.  Better to have registered and never receive anything than register, receive and throw fine china at his head later, right?  (I'm kidding, kind of)
