Awesome Whit! It's so great when you are finally done. You won't know what to do with all your free time.

What do you all think about dating relationships with people at work? As in one of the people is the assistant supervisor and, while he cannot fire people, technically she has things that are accountable to him.

    The steroids should help.

Gluten exposure could have done it too.  I didn't know you were gluten intolerant.  Yes, you can blame it on the wheat.

I don't like it.  Is there a policy?

In my case, I broke out in an itchy, blotchy rash all over my body.  The doctors couldn't figure out what it was (my first doctor told me it was ringworm.  Idiot.)  Long story short, after 1.5 years of not knowing which part of my body to scratch first, I found that chart.  After 2 weeks of staying away from gluten, the rash was gone.

Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

    Why Petal?

In general, workplace romances are bad ideas.  But I met H at work.  Of course, we didn't work directly with each other, and we could not influence each other's career.

I googled skin rash and this fascinates me:

Yeah, I stopped eating it for awhile and I was much better, but then I found out I need it in my system to be tested for Celiac, so I'm kind of enjoying it while I can.

I'm going to blame it on the wheat.

Problem solved, thanks E doctors (double entendre!)!

I'm not exactly sure it is written or where it would be, but it's at a school. I'm thinking somewhere it is.

One of my dad's partners is allergic to gluten. He breaks out when he has wheat.

Oh wow, MK, that's a pretty severe reaction.  I came in contact with PI once and didn't break out (thank you baby Jesus), but I avoid it like the plague now because that shiit can get you any time, even if you didn't react in the past, and I have super, super sensitive skin.

That rash is a visual reminder of why I didn't choose dermatology.

Hmmm... I mean, I guess if they can keep things professional at work and not let it interfere with their ability to do their respective jobs....but still.  I don't know.  Some people can do it, some people can't.  I personally wouldn't let it stop me, but I'd probably try to keep it pretty quiet at work.

I'm 99% sure that my eczema on my hands is actually a reaction to gluten, as it also cleared up when my rash did, however, I've decided that I would rather live with eczema than live without bread and pasta.

Eeek all this talk of rashes. :( I am allergic to the dyes in laundry detergent and before we knew of this, I can recall several times where my mom had to tie oven mitts to my hands and put cold damp towels all over my body so that I wouldn't itch myself because my skin was red and raw all over.

I've never seen PI like that, it looks like big ass tomatoes.  haha  J&K I'm glad your skin doesn't look like that.

Mica I can imagine.  My friend was a MS major, and some of the things in her books were pretty vial.

I definitely broke out. It was on my face, went down my neck, and on my chest. It was odd I even got it in the first place. It was the fall. I got it from the vine on a tree, not the actual plant.

I believe there is something stated in district. Exactly what, I don't know. If I find something I will let you know. I know dating/married teachers can work at the same school. I don't know about admin and teachers.

I think I'm just still processing it. I can see it causing a lot of problems especially when other staff members find out. I don't think the supervisor will be able to keep it professional and has already started acting differently.

I think it is also that we don't typically see work relationships occur in schools I've been in, unless they were married before working together.

All stages of poision ivy - vine, leaves, and bush - are poisonous.  Well, to most of us.

OMG Ya'll I'm at my dad's house and he put TLC on.

SYTTD came on and during the preview of the episode my H says, "Didn't we see this one last Friday?"

    And my father agreed.

    0_o

My husband and father know more about SYTTD than I do.

Somehting is wrong with this picture.

I'm now scared of getting a rash. Although because I'm so fair, my skin often gets red blotches and people think they need to tell me about it.

Megs - I think so to. People are grown and going to make their own decisions. I just think I would have been more careful or waited until someone could transfer. Things seem to spread quickly at shools, or maybe that's every workplace.

I don't see it being a good idea, becaue what if things go wrong? Teaching isn't one of those jobs that it's easy to pick up and find a new job. And if one of them is a superior, I can see there being some issues with all these new evals.

Haha sorry MK, but it was your link!

FI did the same thing about 4 weddings, he was like we've seen this already and I really couldn't remember seeing it.  Eventually I did. That was weird. I haven't watched SYTTD in awhile.

Well we don't have cable at my house, but dad does. So when Lucas is here he watches tv with them. So lots of Bones, House, SYTTD, etc. I just laughed at the whole exchange.
