[QUOTE]Lynda, are you picking H up from the airport?  I've been through MSY way too many times this past year. We went to Walmart today to get our Jazz Fest tickets (seemed so weird that TM outlets are in Walmarts around here but whatever). I'm really looking forward to next Saturday.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Have you been before, Daff?

It's going to be our first time. I wish we could do at least 2 days but it's not in the budget right now so we're sticking to Sat.  What better way to spend Cinco de Mayo? I'm hoping they have frozen margaritas at the daiquiri stand.

<div>I often travelled up in the NC area for work and would have it one or twice a month. Once I tried the peanut butter I just couldn't have anything else. The caramel does sound amazing though.</div>

I wish this on a regular basis. I always complain that Dairy Queen and Rita's don't deliver.

In college, there was a place near campus that would deliver cookies.  I never did try it but it sounds amazing.

  • I might have to settle for getting something from a vending machine when I take the dogs out.   Another reason why I wish DH was here.  We could take the dogs out AND get something from the store on the block.  I'm too lazy to make 2 trips.

  • Evening! We just got back from a BBQ. We ate a big lunch at two so I think we'll just scrounge around for dinner.

I'd order from them (a dessert place) on a nightly basis.

  • Lynda, I'm kinda jealous you have something on the block you could walk to. As much as I love having a yard, sometimes I wish we lived in the middle of a large city.

I'm more of a cheesecake or pie fan myself. I don't really like cake.
  • Yay Daff!

Yup, I think I'll talk FI into starting a dessert delivery business. It'll be huge.
  • Daff - Yay!!

Angel - whaaaaat?? Cupcakes are amazing. I'm looking forward to the ones I'm having at the wedding. French vanilla with amaretto buttercream filling. Mmmmm.

<div>We have a Walgreens on the same block.  Brother's (a convenience store) a block away. CVS on another block.  There are countless restaurants within a few blocks.   It's one of the reasons we have a 97 walkscore.</div>

  • Hi!  What's up?
I read a book today.  It was nice to just relax.

Agreed.. my favorite cheesecake is the Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple from Cheesecake Factory. It's super rich, but so good.
