I still want your power outage - we'd get to go home lol. We didn't have interwebz yesterday for about 3 hours and he was tempted to send us home. We could do EVERYTHING but send e-mails (and Knot ...) and he was like "yeah, there's not really a reason for us to be here"

Well I wasn't so much as scared as on alert. And I was confused about if we should be in safe spot or not because they issues tornado warnings before the storms even got here. FI wouldn't take me seriously when I asked if we should go into the pantry or not.

I used to have panic attacks when the sirens would go off...now I just take my phone and my nook to the downstairs bathroom and ride it out.

Mississippi has ruined me for having a safe ammt of fear for weather events.

I see the BSC 16-year-old bride from my month board seems to have ducked out for the time being.

We had hail last night. That's a rarity for Cleveland. I'm still used to the crazy-@ss St. Louis weather.

UGh. The doorbell at my job has gone off like 5 times already today. Where the FOFF is the office manager? He needs to get back to his desk. I get half way to the door and hear someone yell, I got it. I'm over pretending to get up and get the door!

::shamed face:: Yeah...it wasn't the sun. My boss paid for a month of tanning for me at Palm Beach Tan. She said I was looking kind of pale and it was a "gift." So it's from the tanning bed. Obviously I'm not skilled at tanning beds because I got burned. Bad. I look like a lobster. ::continues shamed face::

LDY, for some reason, I'm rarely sore after spin class - other than my rear end - even if it's the first time I've done it in a while. Maybe I'm doing it wrong... but I love spin, and I feel like I get a good workout. I'm just too lazy to get up early to go most of the time.

IF you do keep tanning, go in a bed where the top bulbs are stronger than the bottom so your backside doesn't get burned. If they don't have one of those, I used to turn on my side for half of the time back in high school (obviously switching sides halfway).

I posted on FB, but the tornado that came through Gloucester County on Saturday hit the school about 5 miles north of where we live. We lost power around 7pm (right around when it came through I guess) and were without it until 1pm. We lit candles and I just read the rest of the night. It got crazy out there, but without power, or a radio on, we had no idea that tornadoes were even in the area. There a wasn't a branch or limb down in our yard when we woke up on Sunday morning. It wasn't until we were driving to Wal-Mart, which takes us right past the (now destroyed) school did we know anything had happened. We're severe weather failures.

Today should be good, I'm having lunch with the girls in my office at the student run restaurant and the food that comes out of there is AWESOME. And I have tomorrow off so that's a bonus! H and I are watching the last disc of the last season of Six Feet Under tonight so that's a double bonus. But also kind of sad because I feel like these people are my family now. /lameness

MK, I had no idea you were so close to that school! H and I couldn't believe our eyes when we saw it on the news because we both have been there and couldn't believe it got destroyed like that. I'm glad you're both okay and missed it.

Hahaha, I usually relate something in my life to Friends on the daily. "I can't tell you what it is, but there will be a wee bit o celebration".

LDY- I'd be upset if someone gave me a gift like that! It's people like your boss that make me feel self conscious about being pale, like I look horrible everyday.

Oh, and good morning (way late)! Tomorrow is my Friday so not much to complain about here :)

Being from New England, I don't have a lot of experience with tornadoes. When I was working in Birmingham, the building manager poked her head into the room and said "if you guys hear the sirens, you can go to the staircase in the middle of the building... or you can probably just stay in here, since there are no windows." And the girl I was working with looks up and says "Thanks" and goes right back to work, and I'm sitting there thinking "what the hell is going on???"

I like my New England weather, snow and all, thank you very much.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Cleveland doesn't have tornado sirens. I know what they look like cause they're all over St. Louis, but I've never seen one here.

Yeah, I don't handle them well. When I was 12-13, we lived in a trailer. There was a tornado and I was home alone in the trailer. My dad was something like 6 hours late and I was just sure he was dead. Ever since then, I turn into the biggest baby when it comes to bad storms.
