Nebb sparked another thread. Who do you know IRL with a ridiculous name? Manda's BFF just this week started dating a guy named...

HOLDEN COX.

One of my best friends last name is Quear. Her grandfather, who died a very unusual death when a silo door malfunctioned and he was buried alive in corn, was named Audley.

...

So the local paper read Audley Quear, farmer, buried alive by corn.

My grandma was a really bad name giver. She named my uncles George Lucian and Gilbert. They go by Corky and Junior and have for their entire lives.

These are awesome!

Manda's boyfriend's last name is Stephens. His brother has that name tattooed on his bicep. I offered her $20 to draw an apostrophe before the last "s" when they were at the beach and he was asleep, to see how long it would take for him to notice, but she wouldn't.

My brother graduated with a girl named You'Nique Cherry.

I also went to school with a Gorgeous (She was not, poor girl), Princess and Bambi.

Bambi got KU senior year.

My grandmothers friend is named Dic Bagg. Now if your name is Richard and your last name is Bagg why in the world would you choose to go by Dic? Rick, Rich anything but Dic! Even my grandmother can barely say his name without giggling.

At work, we see a whole lot of interesting names. I've talked to so many 'Precious" "Angel" "Princess", etc.

I always think the worst are the "Jonathon Johnsons" or "Eric Erickson" kind of names though. I always feel worse for the guys, too. I mean, most girls will change their names at least

Same for me... I went to school with a girl named Treasure.

And a guy who dressed in drag everyday and got his parents to legally change his name to Sunshine. I think he goes by Peanut Butter now though, must be the NC thing. haha.

if a parent is thinking of naming their child something "unique" (read made-up and retarded) they should go around and introduce themselves to strangers for a week using this name and see all the reactions they get!
