    Tess - I used to get measurements regularly but fell off. Any how, funny enough i have an appt today at 2:00 to get them done again :( Scary! At my lowest percentage I was at 19% body fat but that was 3 years ago and post vacation to Thailand! (Which I totally recommend!!!) I'm a little afraid to go in today - but I figure i have to start again somewhere.... :) Send those knottie vibes.....lol!

    I am Viv and I am 5'4" and I need to loose 20lb to be at a good fighting weight.  My problem is I don't mind the way I look in my dress now so I can't use it as motivation.

    Awesome ladies this is a great idea =). I am going to bahamas in 2 weeks and have my boudior session in November. Which means very little clothes!!!! I have been none stop eating EVERYTHING lately and need to stop ASAP. My FI is an athlete so he eats alot which makes me want to eat with him, but he also burns ALOT with working out. I on the other hand don't work out at all and eat ALOT. So I need to work out and eat better!My name is hayley and I am 5'4. I would like to lose 3 lbs and tone up.We CAN do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    photon bug i am right there with you!! My dress fits well now but i won't go back for fittings until January. It's an A-line! - hee hee and totally hides that pesky area.

    ahhhhhhhhh!! this is so great!!! I was gone (working) and came back and I'm so happy to find everyone is interested!!! I'll post Fridays. Together, we can do it. Motivate each other. I have set mini goals for myself... I want to be half way (8 pounds) down by my E-pics (Nov 24). wahooooo! love you ladies.

    court you are tiny and look gorgeous. 16 lbs is not an unrealistic goal and I am confident you will get there :) Facing the scale is certainly the hardest part.

    ooooh I totally forgot to weigh myself this morning. BUT I've been stuck at the same number for over a month now.What's disheartening is that I've been working out (albeit very sporadically) and yet there are no results.IN FACT, over the past month I purchased 4 dresses to wear for either my Epics or for my grandmas big party this weekend and so last night I decided to try on to see which one I was going to wear and NONE of t hem fit. WTF? I didn't gain any weight, if anything I should have slimmed down some. WHYYYYYY?? The only thing I can say is that I'm about 5 days from my period so I'm definitely retaining water and bloated but STILL!! They don't fit b/c my boobs are like ginormous! So now I have to hit the mall tomorrow morning and scramble to find something nice for the party saturday night.Somethings got to give. I've lost about 11lbs in the past 6 months but it was all over the course of about one month then it just stopped. I have less than 6 months to drop at least 15lbs... I know I can do it, I just don't know HOW!!!!Time to give in and join the gym. MEh.

    Court I haven't met you in person but from your pictures I can't see how you could afford to lose 16lbs... and I mean that. People say that to me and I'm like, thanks for being so sweet but really with you... I'd kill to be as thin as you. Ok maybe not KILL but you KWIM.

    alpine - My dress is perfect! It hides all the bad areas.  I guess that I just have to find the motivation from within.

    I'm torn. I want to weigh 125-130 pounds (which is what i weighed in college). The 4 years post college my body stayed comfortable at 135 (give or take 3 pounds). This is not excercising, eating well but cheating often, etc.Then these past 3 months I literally went haywire. I'm now at 141. My size 4 pants are becoming tight and I hate this.My wedding dress is NOT forgiving (I am starting to wish I didn't opt for this style, although when I tried it on.. I liked my body in it, even at this weight).Phew. I feel better. Like i just confessed something, lol.Anywho - between 11-16 pounds is the goal... thank you for listening <3

    My name is Jennifer. I am 5'1 and I will lose 15 pounds by my wedding day. I haven't gotten my dress yet, but I am going shopping this weekend so that has me nervous. I am trying to think of my honeymoon to motivate me, we haven't decided where we are going but it will be tropical, I want to be able to wear bikinis and not feel fat!My weakness is snacking too much. Also, not exercising. I have to get back into a routine.

    I think toning up is what a lot of you thin girls are really looking for. I wanted to start pilates to get that nice sleek look while I lose. My co-worker does it and it's amazing what it did to her body. And is 48! She is already very petite but pilates transformed her.

    I love all the support for this! I want to join in too.My Name is Lacey I am 5'4 and I want to lose 30 pounds and have a year to go. I also would like to lose at least 15 lbs by December for our E-pics! Trying to diet living on an island is hard and the humidity here sucks!! I need some motivation lol.

    I love pilates, I used to go to classes at the gym, but now I am not a member anymore :( Maybe I need to look into joining again.

    Oh my gosh, this is so great! I am so in as well. I'm not going to go ahead and lie and say I've been busting my buns to work out. I, like others have sporadically decided to go running, or squat, or pop in a video. Recently, I have been trying to eat less, but my snacking has got to stop. FI and put on a lot of weight since we started dating in 2007. Of course, my wedding should be the motivation, but why can't I do anything? I'm a teacher and I go back to work in one week. I bought my dress one size smaller last Saturday. It's A-line, too, and hides everything! My biggest hate about my body is my newfound back fat. Ewww... my bra digs in and creates this lard that I never used to have! Make it go away! Oh, and another reason why I hate working out (I know this is so princessy) is that i hate sweating and screwing up my hair right after I blow dried and ironed it... why mess it up? It takes too long to get it back that way again! Oh, Tess and LilBit, I'm another UCFerr!!!! I am 5'8 and NEED to lose 25 pounds before my January 30th wedding.

    While weight training, muscle gaining, burns more calories over time, aerobic and cardio do burn more fat.  The only reason I'm stressing this is because if you feel you are overweight and you want to slim down, size down your dress, aerobics will help in burning the fat, i.e., slimming down.Of course, the ideal thing would be to get both aero/cardio and strength training, alternating between days.  I'm at 5'4" (sometimes I give myself an inch, 5'5") and fluctuate between 125-130 lbs.  Like some of you mentioned, after 2 months of my workout program (aero and strength, mostly circuit training), I haven't really lost any weight, number wise, but my clothes definitely fit better.  When I look at myself in the mirror, I feel look less round and a little more toned.  Proteins are essential part of your diet, but they have to be mostly healthy protein like chicken and fish.  I stress fiber because even though we all want to look good, your inner health is just as important.  You want to prevent future illnesses like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer (diet high in bad proteins).  Fiber (leafy greens and whole grains) are an excellent way to prevent these illnesses and cardio is the best proven method to keep your heart healthy.

    PS: pilates is the best form of exercise for strengthening your body!  Not only does it strengthen your core (abs and lower back), but it works out every party of your body, helps prevent arthritis, and injuries.  It also forms a better posture, making you a couple of inches taller.  Look it up!

    hahaha yes they do!!! ;) Were any of you in a sorority? Majors? Where did you live?? I was in Kappa Kappa Gamma, I was speech pathology & I lived in Northgate for 3 years (and Knights Corner (??) fresh year)

    yay for UCF!!!  I went there too. Seems as everyone from the south goes to UCF. LOL. ahh I miss the restaurants and places there.

    I graduated UCF in 2005, majored in Radio-Television, lived at Village at Alafaya Club for 3 years... and ate food ALL OVER the place!

    I went to UCF freshman year (2006-2007) and majored in Nursing! I lived in Hercules! The food was amazing and not to mention the malls! The Florida Mall, Mall of Millenia! I miss that but I don't miss I-4!
