Yeah, wouldn't have done that at 16. And the POS argument doesn't hold water.

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure at 16, you can control your urges. And who cares if the car was a POS?? Maybe the owner loved it, or could only afford a POS. Good grief. This is angering me.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. I saved for 2 years for my POS. It's not an excuse.
  • I drove a complete piece of schit car until I was like 22. Just FYI.
But weren't you fancy with your sports car at 21?

  • Not to pile it on (well, I am, but whatever). I can't believe that's how you deal with one of life's little annoyances. What do you do if someone cuts you off? An old lady takes too long in the grocery line? These things are so little, along with someone parking too close to your car.

  • I gotta stand up for Whit about the bed thing. It's been, if memory serves, 2 posts? Maybe 3? Certainly there are plenty of us who complain much more often about something that really ticks us off. I'm surprised no one has lost it on me for complaining about my photographer.

And about the "learning to sleep together is part of being married" comment: learning to sleep without kicking each other in the night has little to do with a bed that just plain sucks. H and I don't kick each other, but shoot, I still want a new bed. Ours is little more than four metal rods on wheels, and the mattress has an H-sized dent in it because he never rotated the thing.
  • Where is the MOH dress post and the car damage post? I've missed these.

Even though it hasn't been that many posts, it's just the, "Well that would be the answer but it's just not financially possible" that is getting a little old.  Most of the rest of us probably have financial constraints too, but it's not necessary to continue to highlight them.
  • What else is she supposed to say when someone makes a suggestion? Lie?
"In the old days my ass would be in your back yard picking cotton, so excuse me if I don't put much stock in how f*cking awesome the old days were." -Nuggs
  • And not living together means I'm not allowed to complain about not getting any sleep? Good grief. So if we'd lived together, I would've just been complaining about it then instead of now. That changes nothing.

And sorry, I read the first post wrong, I thought Pink was calling me a bitch, I see that's not what she said.

I posted about it because I wanted to get some advice about what to do since we can't afford another bed. I'm not trying to be all woe is me, we can't afford a new bed. I'm glad I posted though because some of the suggestions were great. Stretching before bed has eliminated DH kicking the shiit out of me during the night, and moving the fan to his side is helping the talking.

Sorry though, I know I'm doing it wrong. I just wanted to defend myself. Which is probably one of my greatest downfalls :)

Ah sorry, I'm guilty for sure.

I'm so glad you posted the trailer. I've only seen one, so seeing it makes me excited for the new movie!

I don't really have any flames other than I flame every poster that posted a kids at the ceremony/reception question. Seems like it got asked a dozen times yesterday.

  • I flame myself for getting all emotionally involved somehow in the Mrs. or Ms. thread from yesterday. To read it, it doesn't look like I was heated, but I just really wanted to be right. Dumb for letting it get to me.

And I'm with Moneypenny on flaming the girl with the MOH with the deceased boyfriend. What a biotch.

I also flame the 12+ posters this week who've asked questions about leaving kids out of weddings without fucking lurking.

No seriously though, no one has read LeRoy and the Old Man? there's a gang in that book called the wolves that wears bedazzled jackets. I have got to start picking allusions that aren't limited to my young adult book list.

Isn't that how it is every week?  FFF has gone from relatively structured at one point to a random free for all of people bitching (and talking about cake and Twilight).   Not saying either is good or bad.  Just my observation.

I did, and then Stephanie Meyer followed with her own memo:

"Hey, I made all thatshit up and sold a kazillion books and movies and all, but it's not that big a deal, ok? Disregard the previous sparkly memo. Alix got all handy with her glitter glue. I'm trying to get JK Rowling to write a new HP book to distract her for a bit so she'll stop sleeping under my bedroom window."
