  Give fiance's brother an ultimatum. Let him know your honored to have him stand up and be a part of your special day. Your wedding party is important to you, and each person matters. Continue to stress the positive of why he's up there, and why others are too. But if he can't handle the awkwardness let HIM choose to step down or not. He probably won't decide to step down so it's up to him how to handle the situation. As far as the family goes, let them know how important they are to you and how much you value them as soon to be FI's. Remind them this day is important for you and your fiance and it's really about the big picture. Keep it about how you feel-POSITIVE emotions-that way there is no room for negative excuses. Then they will sound selfish and self-involved, when it's your wedding to begin with. (Quick solution- (this comes from MY fiance)have the FI brother not break up with her till after the wedding. He can have good break-up sex.)
