Can someone explain that in small words?  Does that mean I have to hit logout on both FB and TK if I don't want them to 'talk' to each other?  What if my FB email and my TK email are different?

I feel really violated by this.  It's so wrong.

I'm unable to like a FB in a profile on TB.  Maybe they are not logged in?

I would love for them to find even 100 people on these sites that say I give you full permission to link my TK/TN/TB to my Facebook, Twitter and Google account, giving everyone access to my full name and personal information.

Hmm....sure don't remember getting an email or a 30 day announcement when TB/TN switched over.   Seems to me that they would be worried about lawsuits.

  • OK... I did a test.

When you click on like it posts something on your newsfeed that directs you back to their  NEST/BUMP/KNOT profile.  NOT their FB page.

So it looks like your FB page is safe.  It's only your TN/TB/TK profile that might not be.

  • Wait. I thought they backed off on this??

It doesn't effect me because the email I use for this place is not connected in any way to my real FB account, but what the hell.

And I think that was the same way when the had the like buttons on the post Lynda.  But it still pisses me off that they even link our profiles to FB.

Why the fvck does everything in this world have to be on Facebook anymore?  People can't even read a fucking article onilne anymore without it showing up online.  Nobody needs to know every move that another person makes.

  • Snippy I just clicked like on yours and it said "Your real first name's profile on the knot" and when I clicked to post it on FB, it posted your bio on my FB page.

I'm guessing it's the same as "liking" a new article on CNN.   If you like the article it goes to your newsfeed, but everyone on CNN can't access your FB page.

Who wants to admit they like a knot/nest/bump profile on FB anyway?  It's a strange thing to like on FB.

I know -it's so obnoxious. Who cares if I read an article on Yahoo about a three-headed baby.

  • However, that's totally beside the point. It's fuucking ridiculous that we have this option. Who the hell is requesting to like someone's PROFILE on FB?? Seriously? It's completely stupid.

And I agree about the article thing. The Social Reader app pisses me off.
  • Well now I am more confused. My FB email is my uni and yahoo, my TK "real" email is a professional one. So I guess... Happy Easter?

Have the time the articles that are liked are on The Onion or something equally made-up.

Same here.  I feel like I work from 5am-9:30 pm, go to bed, and get up and do it all over again.  Heck, I even have work to do today.  Teaching is awesome during the school day but there is so much to do off the clock.   I'm gonna get smart over summer break though and convert all of my lesson plans from earlier in the year to the new format so hopefully, I won't have as much to do next year.

  • I'm jealous.   ;-)

We have dinner plans in a bit.  I love holidays but I don't like all of the running around that comes with them.  Someday, we'll get a bigger house with a large enough dining/family room so that we can have everyone over and THEY can come to us for a change.  =-)
