My FI and I have had the worst time with my wedding band. What should have been a great experience for me to pick up and try on the ring I'll have for the rest of my life, has been a nightmare--to say the least!
To make a long, sad story short. We purchased the first ring in October and brought it in the store to be resized in January. They call to let us know it's in and we go to pick it up and it's no where to be found. We were so upset and puzzled about how a store can 'misplace' a diamond ring???
We ordered another ring, because they promised this doesn't ever happened and gave an even better offer than we had before. After waiting for another one to come in and then sending it off to get resized, guess what happens? They lose it again! This time, we want some answers.
They're not giving us any answers and while they are offering an even deeper discount, it's still not enough.
I know wedding planning can be stressful and it's not roses and cake all the time. But we feel violated and I, especially feel robbed of the experience of loving my ring and looking forward to having it on my finger for the rest of life.
I'm so sad and upset right now. With only 100 days to go, I should not be worrying about this but it's just so hard. I told my FI, I don't even need a ring. I know we can get through this together with or without a ring.
Thanks for letting me vent.

[QUOTE]Wait; did they make YOU pay for a new ring when THEY lost the original one?

<div>Yea, what the heck!! Is it a national chain or a local store? Either way, I'd be contacting whomever's the highest level person within the company. Besides for sucking, that's completely unacceptable for a business to treat their customers that way.</div>

It's Kohl's and we know it's not going to be a 'Helzberg' experience, but it should not be like this for anyone. We have been in contact with Kohl's corporate office. We talked to the district manager last night and she's the one that told us that we won't have the results of the investigation and the best they can do is another discount and order another ring.

If you go somewhere else, I would recommend Blue Nile. Or even look at non chain stores. Most of the local owned stores will do the resizing in house. My wedding band did not take long at all to resize.
