Ugh are you "pulling a Chels" with this sarcasm fail? Totally kidding, I felt like I had to. I like both of you!

Wait, is that Ray? I almost forgot what you looked like ;)
Don't get me wrong.  I love my ILs.  But they sort of want to monopolize every single holiday.  And not just the actual day.  My ILs have something scheduled from tonight through Monday night.  I cannot deal with that much IL.  Nope.  Won't do it. My parents are nowhere near as pushy/needy.

What kind of things, Mica? Like making snow Angels for 3 hours and drinking hot cocoa and then snuggling? What could possibly be planned for that amount of time?

I was a little mad at you, for the munging thing, but I'm over it now :)

• Mica that's almost as bad as never having a plan for the holidays at all.

thanks it was time for a change.

Now if I could just shake this proverbial "foot in mouth" syndrome I seem to have going on all will be well in the kingdom.

Goodness I miss my kids, familly, friends, and my sanity.
• Aw thanks Ski sorry about that! Moving during Christmas time is not very bright.

I am so glad to have the internet back.

Ugh I never would have posted that definition ever. Sorry about that :/

Ski I'm on my phone which hides sig pictures but they show up for half a second first and I thought I saw you had a new one. From what I could see it looks cute. :)
• Hi Mica!

Normally you have to drive your cars but for our current situation they will ship one car for us and I will drive the other.  Since we drove H's last time and paid to ship mine we are shipping his car this time and I'll drive my Jeep.  I have a friend that we planned our move together and she and her son are driving with me and my (soon to be) 2 dogs.

I had a small wedding the other night for H's family and saw everyone there which was good to knock them all out at once.  Their Christmas dinner is the same time as my family's so I'm going to mine.  I might stop by theirs before or after but won't feel guilty if not since I just saw them.

• MIL sent the plan yesterday.  It's not like we have been sitting on plans for weeks/months.

I love Elf!  I hope that was your reference, Meg, since you know Im in FL.

Tonight is a casual dinner, then the men play dominos (we're skipping tonight).
Tomorrow is family dinner followed by evening Mass.
Sunday is early morning gift exchange, then big Cuban dinner.
Monday is the ladies luncheon, then seafood dinner at home.

I'm already committed to the ladies lunch.  I think we're skipping the Monday dinner.

I really don't want to spend two full days in their house unless my dog can come, and I know that my BIL with the toddler doesn't want my dog in the house since she doesn't get along with MIL's dog (not that my dog has any interest in the baby at all).  So I'll be driving 25 miles each way for each event with the ILs that I agree to.  :\
• Oh Meg, I would have googled it anyway, no worries. I thought it was funny that the only other person who knew it was sweet little Musu.

H is at his new job (yay!) today and I'm making PB cookies, they are as big as my head. I didn't mean to do that but they are pretty awesome.

• Man that sucks.  That's a LOT of time with your ILs.

My mom never makes a plan for the holidays because it never goes as planned according to her.  She really just needs to say that she's going to spending the actual holiday with which child and that if the rest of us want to join in, we're more than welcome.  One sister lives 2 minutes away, I'm 3 hours away, and my other sister is 9 hours away.  If she would just say what's she's doing then she wouldn't get butthurt when things don't go her way.

Of course this year is not the norm because she's been so sick the past few weeks.

• Hey Edie, can I ask where in Pittsburgh you are located?

My sister lived there when she went to Chatham.

As for me, somehow TK doesn't realize that State College is Central PA, but right now I'm at my parents' house in Aliquippa.
• Loopy- I vote for the apple cheesecake. That's what I was going to take to FMIL's Christmas eve party before it got cancelled.
In Response to Re: FFF : I kind of know where that is.  It's like a 45 minute drive or so? I'm about 10 minutes away from Chatham.
Posted by edielaura
It's a few exits past the airport headed towards OH on 376 (which I still want to call 60), so 45 minutes is probably a good estimate.
• I call it 60 still Stlrz.  I don't go that way often enough to register the change.
• I could make it to PIttsburgh... just sayin'.
• Can we do the Pittsburgh GTG at Kennywood?

• I'm here until Tuesday, so bring it on.

Now that would be fun.  I have done their Fright Nights but never the holiday lights events.  Kennywood is a great amusement park.  Question for Kennywood fans.

Phantom roller coaster or Revenge of the Phantom roller coaster, which do you like better.

I love the Revenge of the Phantom better, although the Phantom surely did make me scream with that drop towards the river!
• Well if we're talking about GTGs...

CRASH- Can I ask what vacinity of DFW you're in? Rach and I are meeting up second weekend of January. Hint, hint.
