Random question, but do you usually tip at places like coffee shops, ice cream places, etc.? I usually only do it if I'm a regular customer, or if someone did something wonderful. H and I had a disagreement over this last night.

Special - who cares!?!  FREE NUTTER BUTTERS!!!!!

I don't know him well enough to know if he's lying.  But he'd be the one getting into trouble, right?

Also, how do you like GCB?  Matt actually sits and watches it with me, since it can be pretty funny.  I hope they renew it!  I love Kirstin Chenoweth (and Annie Potts).
• Lynda, I would love to see a picture of this plate. Those things are so cute! I used to spell my nickname Jessi but now I'm adamant about it being Jessie and have been for a long time. I don't remember how/why it changed.

Special, I totally understand you not wanting to trust your BIL on that solely.

H used to be addicted to Nutty Bars.  So much so that they were in our welcome bags.  I got him off that addiction after I saw their calorie and fat content.

I feel like it's a replacement for Desperate Housewives, but much lighter (more humor less drama).  I'm a fan!  Sharon is quickly becoming one of my favorites, too!
• MP, I just finished the second episode. I genuinely laughed out loud a few times, particularly during the pep rally scene. I really like the real estate lady.

I adore Kristin Chenowith, but she looks orange and crispy.

• Wait, since it's Little Debbie, you mean Nutty Buddies not Nutter Butters, right?  Nutter Butters are by Nabisco.  That changes my answer.  I'm not so sure about Nutty Buddies.  But that's a personal preference and speaks nothing to any shady practices of your BIL.

Just make sure he washes his hands!
• Lynda, that's adorable!

Special, she does look weird sometimes.  I wonder if that's her choice or for the character.  Charlene can be pretty dispicable sometimes.
• Nutty Bars are fabulous.  I miss those.

Anne, I have no clue what they are. I don't like them. Plus, we don't need to to eat them. We're fat enough.
• Special - I think Nutty Buddies are those crispy bars with a pb type filling and covered in chocolate.  They remind me of the cafeteria in elementary school.
• I think they're the chocolate things. They taste waxy.
• I think H will definitely like GCB. He likes boobies, and there are plenty on display.
• Ha ha ha  you said boobies.
• Haha. That is true special.
Good Morning. Yesterday I was really bummed after riding my horse.  I miss competing, and this being an Olympic year, the year I was aiming for, I was being a bit nostalgic and got all depressed since I have nowhere to actually ride and no money to compete anymore.  I was pretty down, and then I got home and learned I'd won an online contest for an air vest (it's like an air bag and it inflates if you fall off your horse when jumping).  So that was cool.  Now I don't know if I want to sell it and use the money to ride more this summer, or if I want to keep it because it's cool... and well... free. Would you guys have any qualms about selling something you won?  It was a pretty generous prize, and I could probably get at least $500 for it.
Posted by Habs2Hart
I am way behind and in the process of catching up, but I think you should sell it and not feel bad about it.

That reminds me of a friend who won something and sold it....remember when Oprah gave out all those cars that one year?  My friend was there and got one and sold it on Ebay.

You shouldn't feel bad about selling the vest....it's yours to do with as you please.
• I want Sharon's fridge. It's a walk-in restaurant-looking fridge. WANT.
So are you guys telling me not to get the shellac mani?  I have never had one.  I only ever get plain old manicures and I wreck them so I just don't get them except for special occasions, like this one where I have a run on sentence.  I like Essie polish.  Do they do shellac manicures with Essie?  Is it like a gel manicure? Help me make life decisions.
Posted by EaglesBride2012
<div>You should get the shellac. I don't think they use Essie. At least, the two salons I've gone to did not. </div><div>
</div><div>My nails looked way better when I removed it myself. After about three weeks, they had grown out enough for me to grab the end closest to the cuticle and gently peel it off. If I had the salon remove it, my nails were scratched to hell.</div>
• Rachy, I'd avoid the drama. Text her.

For my last birthday, my sister FB liked when one of my SILs wished me a happy birthday.  She emailed me the next week saying that she forgot it was my birthday.

Sweet.
• Pheagles, who is telling you to not get the Shellac?  I got one, since I usually smudge manicures walking out of the salon.  I started to pick it off about a week after the wedding.  But I'd highly recommend it!  I have a groupon for three Shellac manicures at a place up here in Boston.  Want to come visit?

• I'd text her too Rach.
• I think it it could hurt your nails if you pick it off too much (like I did), but they're grown out now and are not worse for wear.

If you've had success with your salon and Essie, then do that.  I just didn't so I went with Shellac.  You could go try one and see how you like it.  I'm pretty sure that they are more expensive than regular manis.

Time for lunch y'all!
• Eagles, you have inspired me to go paint my nails.

Have you guys tried Solar Oil? I think that's what it's called. I got it from my nail salon, and I love it way more than my usual cuticle balm.

I had a no-chip mani done a while ago.  It was horrible and came off 2 days later.  I definitely feel that this is the fault of the place I went to.  It was a Groupon and the place was disgusting.  Prime examply of why you should read reviews before you go.  I started to panic during the pedi that I was going to get one of those deseases where your leg falls off.

This however, does not help your decision Eagles.
