1-How many kids are you guys planning on having? 2
2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? My residency isn't over until 2013 and I've basically been given the "don't get pregnant in this program talk" (pretty sure totally illegal). Let's just say it will be a few years.
3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? Back to work, too much invested in my career. Plus I think my FI would love to be a stay at home Dad, which I think is adorable.
4- Do you have names already picked out? If so, what are they? Girls-Irene or Esther (family names), haven't really thought about boy names yet.
1-How many kids are you guys planning on having? We have a very solid plan set for two... close in age if possible. I'd love to have twins and just be done with it in one quick swoop.
2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? At first we said two years, but now I'm thinking three. I just don't feel anywhere near ready. I turn 27 next month, so I'm thinking kid #1 sometime between 29 and 30... and then kid # 2 sometime before I turn 34.
3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? Go back to work. I can't imagine being a full-time mom. However, I would love to find a job that would let me be at home a lot more. I am already starting to hate 9-5 office jobs.
4- Do you have names already picked out? If so, what are they? I love any name that ends in an "n" sound... they go with our last name. For girls, I really like Madeleine, Gillian, and Peyton. For boys... Ethan, Jackson, or Nolan. But, I'm a firm believer in the concept that what you may have in your head before birth or even conception may not actually FIT the child. My parents were all prepared to name me Sarah Frances, but the day I was born, they totally changed their mind and I became MaryBeth Kimball.

Oh, god, I know how that goes. I LOVE the name Gillian, but my hubby has some chip on his shoulder about one of his high school classmates named Jill and is therefore terrified of our daughter being nicknamed Jill. Therefore, I don't think I'll get away with that one.
But yeah, unless your DH has a concrete reason why he hates Naomi, he should get the eff over it, because your reasoning is wayyy to cute.
I loved reading all this! I'm back for a moment before bed so I will answer... 1. 3-4, though FI says 2, haha 2. Probably at least 3 years. I want to graduate law school and get experience in the legal field first. I get baby fever every now and then though. 3. I probably wouldn't be a stay at home mom because I have invested so so much time and money into my prospective career. 4. No names for sure, but we both realized we have special family ties to the name Warren for a boy and really like it. I love the name Aurora for a girl but FI hates it!
I'd like to have 3 but FH wants 2. I really have no idea when. Shortly after we get married probably. I'm sure I'll always be working... at least part-time. I just started liking the name Charlotte. I always think of names and forget them, darn it! I guess I need to start writing them down.
We'll probably have 2. I'd love 3 but that might be a financial stretch for us. I'll definitely go back to work. Kudos to those who can stay at home with their kids but I know that I am NOT one of them. Plus, we're on my insurance. :-P
DH and I stopped trying to not get PG just after Christmas (a year and a couple months from the wedding but we're 30 so time is starting to tick for us) but now we have to wait until June to try again due to a scheduled vacation and not wanting to tick the airlines off more than they already are by flying pregnant past 7 months. I'm maybe 75% sure that we actually were successful this last cycle but it didn't stick. Won't go into details because that is just kinda TMI.
Lol - I have a list on a post-it note at work and I write down names that I like. I tend to be drawn to "older" names. For boys, I really like Miles, Henry, Benjamin and Max. For girls, I like Amelia, Mara, Elena, Regina (nn Reggie!) and Julia.
Good post, Viejes! A bunch of girls on my month board are pregnant, some got pregnant on their honeymoon. So the talk over there is consistently baby-related and I totally hear you with the baby fever! That being said ...
1-How many kids are you guys planning on having? 2-4
2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? We've been married 4 months, and it'll be another couple years before we go for it.
3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? Probably stay at home at first, but I have to stay busy and I'd love to start my own business.
4- Do you have names already picked out? If so, what are they? Not really, but I love Mila (pronounced "My-la") for a girl and, after PP, Nolan for a boy!

2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? at least 3 years, I"m only 22 so I want to be able to spontaneous for a while longer and I'm not ready to be responsible for a little being, other than 3 hour stints of baby sitting
3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? I want to stay at home for a few months but over all go back to work.
4- Do you have names already picked out? If so, what are they? I have a notepad document with all the names I love, here are a few. I love boys names on girls and I love the name Charlie
Girls Charolette (Charlie) Brooklyn Josephine (Joey) Alessandra Olivia Taylor Britta Evelynn Sophie Brianna Jo Sami Jo
Boys Logan Basil Andrew Shawn Charles (Charlie) Brendan
1 - 2 kids. I think 3 would be a lot of fun but we'll see what happens.
2 - At least 2 more years. I want to be done with grad school.
3 - I think FI will probably stay home. Like a lot of you I also have far too much invested in my education and I am the bread winner so it would be much harder for me to stay home. Plus I think I would go nuts!
4 - I love traditional names I have to say. I keep reading a lot of articles about people who give their kids names with alternative spellings and they kids really struggle with writing in school. My only problem is my family has taken all of the good names. I love James, Sophie, Charlie... All family members already though. I might try to use Robert after my father and grandfather. I have also like Lily, Lynn, Ella. I am sure it will all change again.
I have had baby fever for about a year now. I can't wait to be a mommy
1-How many kids are you guys planning on having? FI wants 2, I want 4. He always says...'We will see after 1 how many you want' It will probably end up being 3.
2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? Honeymoon We are so ready.
3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? I would love to be a stay @ home mom but I don't think it will be practical since I am the bread winner. We have a @ home business so if that took off and we started making a full time salary, then I totally would.
4- Do you have names already picked out? If so, what are they? Girl = Kendall Kay & Boy = Ryzen James
1-How many kids are you guys planning on having? We are hoping for one boy and one girl... but if it turns out to be two of one sex.. then we'll probably try for a third! 2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? We will probably wait a year, then start trying. 3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? Depending on our financial situation, I will hopefully stay home until they are in school. 4- Do you have names already picked out? If so, what are they? We're in love with Lilliana Rose, and Landon Gregory

2- How long after you are married do you plan to start trying? I'm actually getting my tubes tied a month after the wedding (sorry TMI)
3- Will you go back to work or stay at home? I would love to be a stay at home mom but it's just not feasible at this point. Maybe some day...
