So "snarky" means: critical, cutting, and testy.

What else will people expect when posting here? There are a bunch of wedding related boards, month boards, location boards, etc. where people can easily fit in as well as this board. I personally have found these ladies incredibly helpful since many have already been married. I'd like to know whether or not my ideas are stupid, etc. and would prefer a blunt response and would expect that from a"snarky" brides board. I think a lot of people need to realize this is the internet and also in life you don't "fit in" everywhere and suddenly enforcing all of this stuff is BS. I mean, I've been on here for over a year now and no one has cared this much in the past.

I dont want to be above TK law, but I wish you guys wouldnt be so literal. Meaning, of course if some nice newbie walks in and someone calls her a stupid betch-faced ho for no reason, then sure, delete that, or warn them about banning.

But most often times, we are joking among friends, so I dont get why dirty lurkers who dont contribute anything to your boards anyways, get to dictate what we say to each other.

I guess I just mean that if you came here saying that real life posters, and people who post here often, are the ones who are offended, then ok. But rando 10 post newbs? I dont like that.

What if I love Blue so much it offends me. I don't think it is you all making fun of eachother.

Lucy is not here... And it requires that 3 differnt IP addresses do it, so it has to be many people who are reporting.

I know things have not gotten worse since Thursday, but I think a lot more eyes are on the boards, and a lot more people are speaking up about stuff they have been upset about.

Is it the AYG's and FFF's that are offending people?

Because even in those, when we go at each other, its just there. Take for instance Nates and I. We dont like each other. At all. We had it out in that thread, and thats basically it. We are not going to go around calling each other names and harrassing each other for all of forever now. I wish those newbs would understand that. Its a place to hash things out, and move on.

Lilli- im not trying to bust your balls about this, I honestly am just trying to figure out where this is coming from. Some of us who have been posting for years have seen things 100X worse and nothing was ever made a big deal back then. We think its pretty tame around here nowadays.

I personally don't think it's fair that people who don't even contribute to this particular board (lurkers) could be dictating what is posted. That doesn't seem right.

The newbie are not always lurkers, they post too, just sometimes they get pushed away. Also it is not just SB people are having issue with, you guys are just the only people asking me about it, or that have really seemed to notice. It is a community wide thing.

I know it is annoying in the past we have not enforced the swearing issue as much, minus the words not being able to be posted. But since Thursday people have been reaching out like crazy and I think we really do need to enforce the TOS that everyone had to agree to when signing up.

I think people are on high altert and are reporting more posts than ever before. I am not reporting them because people are reporting things before I even see it.

We want you all to talk about what you want, and we want SB to have it's own vibe, but we still have to enforce the TOS here, just like on all the other boards.

I dont understand what happened on Thursday? If you mean people calling Lucy, um, colorful names, well, I mean cmon. That had to have been expected.

I still dont understand about AYG. It was a pretty normal AYG from what I remember.

Also, if you want to call eachother idiots that is totally cool, doesn't violate the TOS at all. It is just the swearing that is an issue. And the one AYG stepped over the line so I removed it. Other than that I know everything is harmless, and really is not an issue. Most newbies do not come here anyway. I was referring to the boards as a large community.

There are a lot of posters from E and SB who have been talking about combining a board for us to come together. Could you give us a board to do that?...you call it "the corner" and all of the bad kids get sent to the corner. We can still come back to our old boards if we want to play nice, but 'the corner' doesn't sound all that interesting so unless people want to put up with us being buttholes (that just feels wrong) they can have free range of all the other boards. You could even bury our board under months or cities or the special snowflake section where sports weddings are. It's really a win/win. We can be the buttholes we're truly meant to be, and TK still gets all of the site hits that it needs to keep the vendors interested.

Lil, it would literally take me less than half an hour to report and have all of your posts in this thread deleted. Seriously. I would be shocked if it wasn't CC doing all the reporting just to be assholes.

ETA: on my own. It's really not that hard to get 3 IP addresses. If you can see it, then you can probably confirm it's the same few IPs reporting everything and anything they want. We've done it in the past to prove a point. It's not a flawless system.

Honestly, I'm surprised TK is willing to risk the revenue loss that will happen from another mass exodus. FFS, even TN and TB aren't this puppy and rainbow puke-worthy.

Im not down with combining both boards. Instead of having 2 boards with massive morning and evening threads about the lamest ish ever, we will have 1 board with a 1000K post morning and evening thread.

Lilli- how about something like this for the header:

These Knotties are discussing everything from politics to your mom and everything in between. They are sarcastic, blunt, crass, and sometimes even offensive. Not for the pearl clutching faint of heart!

I know that the reporting system is not fool proof, but it is the best way to do it right now.

You could totally do that, and I couldn't stop you from reporting it just like I cannot stop people from reporting things they find offensive.

We are not doing anything different than before except reminding people that swearing is not allowed, and encouraging everyone to be a little more friendly.

We are not going to combine both boards. SB is really the only board that never really talks about wedding things. I am also not going to hide you. But I do think a better headline would be helpful. Thanks for that wording Blue, I really like it.
