What to do? UGH!

Re: What to do? UGH!

  • If you're all wearing camo then all your problems are solved!  You don't need a photog at all.  Nobody will show up in pictures anyway if the camo is as effective as it should be.

Fleet farm, home depot, gander mountain, basically any store that sells hunting stuff.

    DicksSportingGoods?

Because apparently the fact that it's the name of a store doesn't matter to TK.

My Home Depot does NOT sell camo.  And I have never heard of those other places.

Also- that vest your FI is wearing is hideous.  I would have declined being in a wedding having to wear camo.

Well he's an avid hunter, so camo doesn't bug him lol.
Better than the green/brown camo.  White camo isn't so bad compared to it.
  • But since when did camo become formal wear??  How do you pay like $150 for a tux and then ruin it with camo??

  • Louie's Tux shop has camo vests, ties, bowties, etc. I bet you could find other places that have wedding/camo shitt.
  • Honestly, if she's that bratty when you bring up the kid issue, I don't see how she'd be professional enough to take good pictures. She'll probably bring the kid no matter what you say, and I foresee it being a disaster. I'd look for someone else and just pay the additional costs.
  • If I went out and bought a nice dress for a wedding and the whole BP was wearing camo I would be horrified.  Its just something I cannot wrap my head around.

  • I think camo for prom is funny.  Camo at a wedding is just a shame.  A damn damn shame.  A SHAME.

    Yeah, that's going to work.
  • The 2 years that I actively lived in SC I went to prom and saw boys in camo suits, and some in hunting camo.  Had it been my date, we would have had a discussion as to appropriate attire.

  • My cousin had camo in her wedding.  Swear.  Not on her dress or the BMs, but the groom and the GM all had it.

I could have sworn there was someone on here that had camo in their wedding.  Whit, maybe?  I apologize in advance if I'm wrong about that, Whit!

  • It seems to me that your choices are the following:

    1. Keep her as your photographer, which will save you money, but continue to cause you stress (possibly a lot of stress on the wedding day)

    2. Hire a babysitter as PPs have suggested, you still get the free photographer, and you don't have to worry about her daughter (of course this option assumes that you think she is a good photographer and you won't have issues after the fact)

    3. Tell her you'd rather have her come just as a guest, and find someone else.

If I were in your position I would definitely be calling / emailing other photographers at this point so you at least know what your options are.  But the babysitter seems like the best compromise of low stress and minimal financial strain.

  • If the kid starts acting up just having one of the groomsmen nail the little sucker with a tranquilizer dart.  I bet those would conceal fine under those camo tuxes.  THWUCK.  Right in the neck.

    Ah yes I forgot Cabellas.

Idk why people care so much about other people doing camo for a wedding "color".  I'd never do it in a million years but it doesn't hurt/affect me if someone else does it.
