Tuesday evening

Re: Tuesday evening

  • Thanks lauren! I'm not a huge girly girl and actually didn't even have a dress to wear until last night, so hats and big hair stuff really isn't me. I didn't want to look like Prince Beatrice.

  • This is Tory's current reaction to The Voice. She is unimpressed:

  • Yeah, I want to know what The Oaks is, too. I was just too shy/embarrassed to ask last night.
  • Whenever my niece cries, I hand her to my sister. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's my baby and I have no one to hand them to.
  • The Oaks is a big race they do every year the day before the Derby. They usually dedicate it to Breast Cancer awareness too, so people dress in pink and they have a survivor walk and all of that. It's all part of the Derby festivities.

I'm sad Mica's not coming this year. :(
  • Ciara, you're cool. You're a new mom, don't be upset or ashamed that you need some help.

  • He finally stopped crying after about 25 minutes of it being non-stop. I think it was because he needed to sneeze because once he sneezed he was fine.

  • :( I'm sorry Ciara. I think it is very normal though, wanting more support there for those difficult moments.

  • Hey ladies! I haven't been around the past few days, I missed all your faces <3

I have chronic stomach problems, so I'm lying in bed whining. Sigh. Also, I'm watching Supernatural, my current favourite show <3

I have to stay up until 12 tonight because my convocation tickets go on sale. We're only guaranteed 2, which sucks because it means Fi (Then DH) may not be able to come unless I manage to score a third one. Fingers crossed.

Ciara- I'm sorry you had a tough night last night, but I'm sure the first little bit is always hard and it'll get easier when you get a routine going. Lots of love your way!
  • For those of you watching The Voice, who is your favorite? I'm big on the girl who did Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and the last guy from last week.

  • It's ok guys, I'm not 100% sure if they even air The Oaks on tv outside of this region. I hadn't heard of it until I came here. I think it's also an all filly race too, so it's kind of special.
  • I remember babysitting a newborn shortly after I started babysitting for a neighbor down the street. I was familiar with the child since I had been over there quite a bit. But one night when I was watching her, I could not get her to stop crying. Thankfully I was only a few houses down and I had to have my Mom come down and give me a hand.

<div>That is totally me...I actually look like a clown or a child playing dress up when I wear hats.  It isn't cute at all.</div>

  • Haha Tory WAS asleep but when I went to go take a picture, she opened her eyes to look at me, haha.

  • mixtape - H and I love Supernatural. We have watched the first few seasons on dvd. We need to get the next one.
  • I'm drinking a glass of wine in hopes it will make me sleep better.  Normally I sleep better without DH, but  last time he was away,  I didn't and I do not want that to happen again.

I'm trying to decide if I want to do J'ouvert or not... It's starts at 4am Thursday morning.   Normally I'm working, so I do not have a choice, but this year I have off and it might be my last time to do it... Umm, not sure what to do?

  • Panther-- I can't remember half the people already, which is sad. I know I liked the first few that Adam and Blake picked.

Mixtape-- I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. :( I hate how graduations have the limited ticket thing. We had 6 I think for mine. A lot better than 2 though, jeez that sucks. :(

I missed the last few performances last week b/c we had tornado warnings in the area and they interrupted programming.  Sooo my fav so far has been the heavier country boy who sang Rascal Flatts last week.  I don't normally like country but he was just too cute.

Ciara -- you're doing great.  3 hours alone with a newborn is a long time.
  • I just started watching tonight, so I don't have a fav yet.

Haha exactly! She is so good at hearing me sneak up on her. I managed to get a photo of her watching people on the street earlier on her porch, without her knowing. I was proud of my stealthness.

  • Raider is afraid of cameras, so we don't have many pictures of him. I'm not sure why he is afraid, but he is. He also doesn't like remotes. Again, no idea why.

  • Thanks ladies. I know I can do it, I just feel so overwhelmed at times.

  • Haha I got a funny image of a dog being afraid of remotes. Tory doesn't really seem to be afraid of much, but she gets pissed at the vacuum sometimes.

  • Missy- It's. So. Good. I have a really really large crush on Dean. Holy crap.

Musical- I wish we had six! It totally does suck. I definitely don't want to pick between my parents and my husband, haha!
