I know that all the engageds here love their rings, and any NEYers would totally love anything their BF gets them. BUT if money were seriously no option, what kind of ring would you want?
Honestly, I just like a diamond solitaire in a white gold or platinum band. I know a lot of people think it's boring, but it's the kind of look I like. From anywhere, not necessarily Tiffany. I just like the photo.

I used the snipping tool on my computer to save the pic. But I've used print screen before too. Tiffany doesn't want you to save their pics easily :P
I had been in love with the Tiffany Novo ring set, however, his sister just got engaged/married, and thats what she has. Normally, I wouldn't care, there are only so many ring styles in the world. But, we are not close, and it would not go over well in the family.
So, my new love is this ring set from Brilliant Earth

My former college rm's FI got her engagement ring from BN, they got it appraised by a 3rd party and it was exactly what they bought (all the c's).
I actually tried on a similar one (though it was smaller -- only 3 carats) at a jeweler in Houston and fell in love (BF did, too. He wouldn't shut up about it). It was about 15 times our budget, though.
Not gonna lie - FBD got the ring I dream about. If we had a little more money I might upgrade to a 1 or 1.5 ct but my 0.8 is still stunning and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
I know, I'm lame.

DROOOOOOOL.
Here's my dream ring (at the moment) that we could realistically afford:

All I know is I find plain diamond rings boring, and I would want something with color. When I was on a Mexican cruise last spring, they were really pushing tanzanite at all of the port shops. I loved the color. I also like marquise cut stones, so I'm thinking something that looks like this. A big old colored stone with diamonds on the side.

This! I originally really wanted platinum. But after doing some research, gold is much more resilient than platinum (though it does require re-dipping). And the lower the karat of gold, the higher proportion of alloys that are blended in, meaning the more stable. Interestingly, the lower the karat, the cheaper (since it's a lower percentage of real gold). The problem for some people are allergies to the alloys (like nickel), but I don't have that allergy. So I want 10k or 14k white gold. Even getting it re-dipped every 6 months to a year or so won't nearly make up for the price difference (about $600). Plus I like that it's a lot harder metal. I have a white gold claddaugh ring I wear every day, and it's stayed in remarkably good condition - I can't see a reason to re-dip it as it still looks shiny silver, though it does have some dings in it (I don't think I can re-dip it anyway as it has some yellow gold on it).

I also love sapphire rings.

This is the coolest ring I have ever seen. I don't think I would REALLY want it but it so amazing to look at.
EDIT: It's Tiffany but I'd take a no name that was similar to it's awesomness

8 Carat Canary diamond ring from Cartier. Price? Yours for the low price of $400,000.
Mine isn't sensible haha. The exact ring I posted is my dream ring- 1 carat brilliant solitaire set in platinum from Tiffany.
For other random jewellery to have, I could definitely find something crazier but for an e-ring, that's exactly what I love.
I do love that canary diamond though...
I still love it!! It's really not that expensive either
Also, I would love Princess Diana/Kate Middleton's ring.

I love platinum. I don't mind the softness, and I just love the look and colouring of it.
