Night Thread?

Hi girls. What's everyone up to tonight? I'm catching up on some shows while FI is out. I was considering having a glass of wine too.

Anyone around?

Re: Night Thread?

  • Crazy east coaster. It's still afternoon. I'm on a conference call, and then I get to take my monitor back to the doctor's office. And then I'm taking a glorious bath!
  • It's pitch black here already and feels like 10pm Cry

When will you get your results from the monitor, Leia?

  • I'm pumped for X-Factor tonight.
DH has us preparing the most elaborate pizza, super dumb. I'll be eating at 9pm tonight
  • Jen, I'm inviting myself over sometime for pizza. You guys always have the coolest pizzas EVAR. What's on the one tonight?

I'm really excited for X-Factor tonight too!  I think I might even watch it LIVE (gasp!). Who are some of your favorites?

  • You are totally invited! Tonight it is roasted potatoes, goat cheese and sage. I think.

Um I really like a couple of the young gals. I cannot believe Leopard print girl PAINTS THAT ON HERSELF EACH DAY. I though it was stickers or something.
  • Hey! I'm around. I'm supposed to be writing my science experiment write-up. But it's boring and I really can't get into it. I've been putting it off for two months but now it actually needs doing. I wish it was a TV night! What shows are you watching rdr? And what's on your pizza Jen? I'd love a homemade pizza. Beats leftovers.
  • Oh hey guys. I'm still at work. Waiting for kids to show up. I really hope they don't simply because I realized I have to move all of my pets tonight. F*cking roaches. They're spraying the apartment again on Friday and its theabsoluteonlyday and we're going to be out of town for FI's dad's birthday.

Jen, your pizza sounds delish. FI and I ate a whole baguette and roll of goat cheese during the debate last night. I may stop and get more on my way home. Totes a healthy dinner, right?

Leia, when do you get the results back on your monitor?

  • Jen: You guys definitely eat the coolest pizzas ever. Do you make your own dough or buy it? I can't stand that girl! And I thought they were stickers too until the last episode. I will say though, she killed it in her last performance. I like a few people but I don't know any of their names!

Fizzy: I just finished watching Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie, and 90210. No judging, please! Did you have dinner already?

  • We had homemade pizza last night for dinner, but it wasn't that elaborate.  I don't know what is for dinner tonight.  I'm not really hungry because I just drank 3 glasses of juice.  I was really thirsty when I got home from my run.

I did not realize it was already dark out.  I am not ready for this part of fall/winter.

<div>Hey heather! I enjoy it being darker earlier. Makes it easier to get to bed before 1 am. And, camp fires at camp are a lot easier. Worship (at camp) is a lot more fun too when a storm knocks the power out and it's pitch black.</div>

<div>Well, it isn't as much of a problem as it was. As in, I see a live roach every three or four days now. But this is their scheduled quarterly spray and no way in hell am I skipping one of those. It just blows that I don't have a carrier for the cats right now, so they freak the f*ck out and crawl all over the car while I'm driving. And no way am I putting the dog in the car with the cats. It's just a mess. But hey, if it keeps the roaches from coming back in full force, I'll do what it takes. </div>

  • Heather: It's pitch black when I leave for work too. This aspect of fall/winter is definitely the hardest for me.

Aud: I watch a TON of TV. I got home from work around 4:30 today and got started on my shows. Dinner was in the crockpot so I didn't have to cook tonight :)

  • Hello all!  I'm making dinner and waiting for bf to get home.  We're having meatloaf and mashed potatoes tonight.  Although I feel I need to know more about Jen's pizza's now. Tonight's sounds quite good.

  • Rach, that's so much TV! The TV in the living room only gets NBC and CW, so that limits me on what shows I can watch there. In the bedroom, I get them all, but I try really really hard to seperate the bedroom as a place exclusivelly for rest and sleep.

And I moved the Roku box into the bedroom when we got an internet capable blu ray player. But the BR player didn't come with a remote so we can't connect it to stream netflix and amazon plus. Fail.

Danser, did you ever figure out all the tummy stuff? :(

[QUOTE]Hi! I've been in the basement staining shelves. H built me a nail polish shelf, which I promptly effed up by staining it with a polyurethane, which as it dried collected all the dust in the air and ended up looking like crap. So we sanded it all off, and I'm staining it with the right stuff this time. Oops.<strong> But now it's getting a distressed, vintage-y feel, and I'm digging it.</strong> Experimental dinner is in the crock pot. Chicken, can of pineapple, and some bbq sauce. Hopefully it tastes as good as it smells. Leia, I have my fingers crossed that you get some answers!

<div>Yea... no. We just moved in three months ago. It was aa huge fiasco, lots of hurt feelings and we're finally over the whole thing (as in, no more fighting, feelings aren't bruised, etc.) so I won't bring it up. • Danser: What I made tonight was super yummy and super easy. I put 1 lb of chicken into the crockpot, sprinkled it with a packet of low sodium taco seasoning, and then dumped in a jar of salsa. Set it on low for 8ish hours. Then shred the chicken and mix. YUM. I vote for the cherry wheat beer.

    Aud: Mum/garter exchange? Explain.

For homecoming, my high school had a parade where each class built a float and the floats were judged by the staff. We would start working on our floats the day school started and work every single night until homecoming. The parade was during the day though before the football game and then we had the big dance at night. The dance was a big deal too. I got my hair and makeup done all 4 years and a new fancy dress for each, also. I loved homecoming!

Everyone keeps talking about crockpots...what brands/models do you all have? Do you recommend? I like the idea of being able to prepare dinner beforehand and have it cook all day. I hate coming in from work then having to cook.

Tonight is just leftovers. I just ate half a tub of salt and vinegar pringles, so I'll probably swap the potato salad I was planning for a tomato/cucumber salad with some feta and red wine vinegar. And I'll split a pork loin with bf.

Drew I hope the landlords stay on top of the roaches, and that BF compromises in the summer. Sounds like getting out of there will be best but maybe it'll be totally free by then.
