Night Time

Re: Night Time

  • J&K, the grandma never brought it up again. DD and her FI decided no way and said we all needed to stick to her guns, but never had to.

Going to her pinning and then to dinner with them was NOWHERE near as bad as we feared or expected. It just really seemed to highlight the strength of our family. Hard to put into words. But H has even agreed now that her mom can come over here (our house; we live across the street from the church) when DD is getting ready for the wedding and such. So, it's all really good. I mean, we're not gonna be BFF's or anything but can certainly do what is needed for DD to have an amazing day.

  • Hello. :) H and I are waiting for my BFF to get home so we can go to her house and have a Big Brother  party. Ok, not an actual party, since it's just the 3 of us, but whatev.

I just ate an emabarrasing amount of food from Taco Bell and I'm too satisfied to care.

And J, I love to swim laps!

I was?!  What do you mean?  What thread in that universe did I post in?  I'M SO CONFUSED.

Also?  Would you like to be email workout buddies?  It's not the same as in person workout buddies, but we could support each other.  It's also mega cheesy, so don't feel bad if you think it's lame and I'm crazy.

Dh is part of the exec committee who signs all the b-day cards for all the staff at the property.   His birthday was on Sunday and he received his card today.

You guessed it, he signed his own card.    I guess no one thought to keep one back so he wouldn't sign it. DH didn't pay attention to the names of the people he was signing for.  The person stuffing the envelopes didn't notice either.

Anyway, been gone a week, what's new?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • J,yuck. to all of it.
    Willy, that's awesome.
I think there are still two universes, as this thread just showed up, but two others are missing-at least on FireFox.
Discovery of Witches is really fun Leisel.

That is seriously so, so awesome.  I'm really glad that you guys will be able to do that and feel pretty good about it (at least, it seems like you feel pretty good about it, at this point anyway).  I'm really happy for you guys.

I know you weren't asking me, but I don't think it's cheesy---always nice to have more motivation!
  • Er, not the fun weekend. The other stuff.
Leisel, forgot to tell you I love that sig pic.

  • I was bummed today because the stair mills were BOTH being repaired when I was at the gym. (And they are basically brand new, so wtf?) I was all ready to kick that machine's butt. Might have to go back later.

  • Lynda that happens all the time. All of the managers at the hotel sign the cards. I wasn't in the signing pool because I was still new in March when my birthday was, so I didn't sign my own.

J I would loveeeeeee to be email workout buddies.

And yes, there was a post from you in the other thread. I think it was about dinner. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

  • Wally, that's awesome. It's nice to hear about families that can get along well after a divorce.
  • Hi!

I'm hanging out with H and the kittens.

I came home, and the dog and the kittens were all in the same room.  The kits were on the couch with H, and Berkeley was just watching them.  Well, I come home, and the boy kitten jumps down to play with the dog, and at some point, he runs, and so Berkeley chases.  He then flops on his back and scratches Berkeley's nose.  Poor dog.  H yelled at her, even though the cat is the one who drew blood.  Now Berkeley is back behind the dog gate.

H shouldn't have let the dog off-leash into the room with the kittens.  They all aren't yet ready.  This would not have happened if I was home when H got his "brilliant idea."

    Sigh.
  • J I should clarify. You had a post in the alternate universe's night thread. Holly was there too.

  • Wally, that's awesome.
Leisel, Discovery of Witches is really good, and I don't generally like vampire stuff either. Also, I looooove your new sig pic.

  • Leisel - is hooters bride an example of bad etiquette weddings you still go to? ; )
  • Thanks! We do feel really good about it. Not dreading the wedding now, YAY!

The dude in the wrong lane freaks me out. That is what happened when my H had his accident. Dude in a semi going the wrong way ran into him. I'm not kidding when I call H 'My Miracle Man.' They did a re-enactment of it (for court) and even that was freaky to watch, and they had the highway blocked off and everything.

  • OOT really confused me, but then I thought maybe this was some elaborate joke I just wasn't cool enough to be a part of, so I said nothing.
