Snarky Brides

AYG

Anyone feelin' this today?

I flame Nindakay or whatever her name is. She seems nice enough, but good lord the way she writes her posts gives me a headache. Every single sentence ends in multiple exclamation points. It makes it hard not to visualize her as an excited 15 year old on a sugar high.

I'll state the obvious one - Laurstar for saying it's ok to own a human.  And being a general douchebag.  And for making my name look bad.

I totally agree about the sugar high description of Nindakay. She made me think of the socially awkward but nice girl I knew in high school when she had her first latte. It was interesting to say the least.

I also feel like I overuse '...' and it makes me feel flaky. I flame myself for having such a hard time learning who everyone is based on SN's and getting confused going mobile without sigs.

  • Wait, what?  Wtf is normal 23 year old behavior?
    panther
  • Yaga- going out all the time, staying out all night, and all those things ARE typical 23 year old boys behavior.  If your guy wasnt  like that at 23 he is the exception, not the norm.

There is a reason why the statistics show that divorce rates are higher in that age group.

Ya, I started dating adam when I was 20 and he was 22 and he NEVER acted like an immature doucher.

lol. I kinda know what you mean. It is kind of the feeling that the person is latching on to anything someone says and is OVERLY enthusiastic about it in hopes that they will look good, or something. But it just comes off as desparate, which is kind of sad.

  • I think it was around 23 or 24 when I realized I couldn't party like I could in college, lol.  But obviously not everyone matures at the same rate.  And I'm also a massive lightweight pussy.

  • Yaga, I agree.  Yeah, there are some 22-23 year old immature aholes, but there are also plenty of 30+ year old immature aholes out there too.

  • Yeah I thought nindakay was all weird when someone said she was one of their least favorites. She quoted it and said "yay I'm famous!"  You're really happy that you're famous for something negative?

That being said, I feel like there's been an influx of polls that include "favorite/least favorite poster" which I flame.  I don't see the need to have everyone re-list their favorites/least favorites every week.  I'll admit this is probably stemming from me being a little butthurt about my "least fvorite" status on like half of them.. but even so, why do we need to keep repeating who our favorites and least favorites are?

I also ditto the Laura/Lauren flames. Blue,  I didn't realize people didn't think she was a troll?

That is how J is feeling now too. I was never much of a drinker/partier so I quit early. He's kind of coming down from all that now and would rather just hang out or have a drink or two, and he's 24. He definitely was a typical early 20s guy before that. But fortunately was not a lazy cheating bum like the other dude.

I'm 28 now but I'm still annoyed that I can't party like that.  I don't know why because it's not like partying is THAT cool, you know?  But for real.  I used to drink shots of whiskey, play beer pong for hours and walk around all  night with a bottle of goldschlager and still make my 8am news meeting at my internship.  Now I'm hungover for 2 days when I drink like, 5 beers.  Hell 5 beers and I'm passed thefuckout.  5 beers in college was childs play.

Okay anyway.  This does not need to be about the good old days, lol.

  • I stand by what I said in that thread. The guy does sound like a typical 23 year-old guy. Of course there are exceptions. I, for one, never said it was okay that he acted that way though. I don't like early-twenties guys most of the time because all the ones surrounding me act like that. I don't think they are mature enough to get married, that's for sure.

I also think the Laur-whatever downward spiral was completely stupid. I was surprised by how many people blew that out of proportion and rolled with what was clearly said in jest.

It was like 10 pages of people falling all over themselves to say the same thing over and over. Drama can be fun, but that just felt like manufactured drama because of boredom.
