My cousin Galina is getting married in September this year and as the MOH, i am now helping her choosing the dresses. We decide to buy the dresses from forherandforhim.com since i had very nice purchase experience with them before.(Already posted somewhere else about my incredible dress journey with them: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/got-my-wedding-dress-love-it-so-so-much-with-pixs) My cousin has the body that can rock almost every type of dresses, so we are thinking of buying a mermaid/fit and flare style dress to totally show off her body. After a few days of searching and discussing, we are now stuck in two dresses, both look very pretty and we really cannot decide which one to buy. I actually wrote a same post on weddingbee (a similar wedding forum) and seems people there all like the first lace dress. But my sister is sorta a halter fan and she thinks the second dress is also very attractive. So dear knotties, please help us make the decision, thanks a million! Here are the dresses: The lace dress: The halter dress:(satin)
I like the lace dress too- however... for me, I knew right away when I had found the perfect dress for me. I've never had a dilemma like choosing between two dresses. Just ask her to say the first dress that she imagines herself wearing down the aisle and she has to answer in less than 10 seconds. It should just come to mind, IMO.
Both choices are beautiful! But, It really depends on the bride's PERSONALITY
The lace dress is elegant, modest, and simply beautiful. The lace dress is a hands-down, sure-to-be-approved-by-everyone dress. But if the bride likes halter dresses better, maybe it's because a halter dress suits her personality better. My opinion: the opinions of everyone else shouldn't matter, the only person who needs to be 100% happy with the choice of dress is the bride
I say this because while yes the v-neck satin is a little more revealing, it's about how wearing that sexy style makes the bride feel. But I am biased because I was the girl who wore a backless/revealing dress to prom, even if it could seem inappropriate. If the bride likes halters then take a risk and go v-neck! After all, the bride doesn't need to be modest--she's allowed all the attention in the world on her day. Good luck choosing, but rest assured that you can't go wrong, both choices are beautiful!
