Yup, it's been a pretty active evening thread tonight. I'm almost always up this late, but everyone else has usually left by now.

I plan to address my own STDs. My handwriting is decent. Not sure about invitations though... I may have to get those done. I can do it neatly, it just wouldn't look as nice as it would if a calligrapher did it.

Snippy, I just creeped on your wedding photos - your wedding was beautiful, and I really love your music playlist. Very good choices :)

I'm currently trying to decide if I actually want to go into the office today. My indecision has almost guaranteed that I will not be. Maybe that was my point? Hmm...

Anyway, I was a pretty laid back bride myself.  I only had one freak out, and that was when I woke up in the middle of the night about a week before the wedding, realizing I hadn't paid the baker. I ended up driving to the downtown area so I could find some unlocked wireless at 4am (I was staying at our empty house and it didn't have internet) so I could send them a panicked email.

Even the day of, my MIL called my H and told him that she was upset one of her friends didn't get invited (even though i had asked her a million times for a guest list) and she had called and told them to come to the wedding anyway. I just laughed and told H his mom was crazy.

<div>Ha, that is definitely freak out worthy. </div><div>
</div><div>For some reason my baker wanted payment in full SIX WEEKS in advance. Wtf. I want cake. You're a baker. Why do you need payment so far in advance???</div>

I keep wanting to change my sig pic every 5 minutes because I'm still in that phase of loving to stare at the wedding pics we've seen so far.

I had a dream last night that we accidentally scheduled the wedding for the same day as the bar exam and we pretty much forgot to do everything. I was so relieved to wake up and have it not be true.

I remember having minor freak outs about minor details, but I can't remember them now. So apparently whatever I was worried about wasn't a big deal, haha. Though I do remember that I forgot to give the DJ a list of songs that I REALLY wish he'd played, and then forgot to request them that day.

Ha, I feel this way about my engagement pics, but someone recently commented that I change my sig a lot and it gets confusing, so I feel self concious doing it now... I feel like I need to keep this one up for awhile.

Yeah, I think I'm pretty good at keeping the same pic for a while.

Snippy - not to sound like a stalker or anything, but I agree that you look better in that dress than the model. I feel like the dress was made to accentuate a woman's curves, and that model just doesn't have any.

<div>I feel that way, too. But you're around enough that I don't think any one would get confused about who you are, ya know? Except that people call you Angel and call that Angelsong chick Angel, as well. But you were here first, so you win, or something. haha.</div>

The only thing I did freak out about on the wedding day was random people wanting to tour the venue while we were setting up. I finally was very rude to people that asked to view it - and I'm definitely non-confrontational.

The recent trend of bridal models posing like they a) have scoliosis or b) sitting on a bench, leaning forward, with their knees pulled up really bugs me. In the first case, it just looks awful. In the second case, it cheeses me off because I CAN'T SEE THE DRESS.

Leisel, I think that is why it was supposedly confusing. And it is confusing when we're in a thread together... someone will respond to something she said and I'll think they're talking to me, and I'm like wait, what?

I think it's funny that I'm not the only weirdo who has Angel in her SN... I think she made her SN up back in the days of AOL as well and continues to use it. That seems to be where all the puppies and rainbows SNs came from, like MusicalSunlight, etc.

<div>I can't remember what my AOL sn was, but I know it had both "blood" and "rose" in it. Yeah, I went through a bit of a goth phase in middle school. </div>

Angel, yeah I still use an email address that I made in 8th grade. But I only use it when I sign up for a store's emails or something because I don't like checking that account regularly. Still, it's an ooold email.

I always laugh when people think my name is actually Leisel. I mean, obviously it's a real name, but to me it's just my cat's name, so it makes me chuckle.

MidgetheMighty was an old AIM name too.

Mine was gypsymoon. I kid you not. It's so embarrassing. I used to think I was some ethereal goth chick back in those days (late 90s).

Here's an example of "bench pose":

That isn't TOO bad, because I can see the top of the bodice, but I can't see the waist, hips, or how the skirt lays. It's a nice artsy shot, great for wedding photos, but not very helpful.

Leisel, sometimes I forget that it's not your real name, even though I KNOW your real name, heh. I have trouble remembering to call people by their actual names on FB... on more than one occasion, I've typed something like, "MuSu" or "Petal" into my search box, instead of their real names.

I don't mind people calling me by my TK name IRL. Well, on FB. That's close to IRL right? Right??

  • Options
I guess I'm someone who likes making up names.  I've had a different SN for every forum-like service I sign up for, not to mention the 4 or 5 I've had here. Only the first name here was something that I've had for a while, and I quickly got rid of it when I saw how google-happy people are and what you could find from that simple information.
