As much as I dont like tom cruise, I think he made an excellent lestat. I wish they could raelly do the stories justice and make the whole series into movies.

Hahaha!

It confused me because they couldn't even have sex, right? Yet, a penis popped out at every moment.
• I agree, if he did it now it would just be weird and out of place.
• Ok, time to go read before bed. I don't wanna be up till midnight reading again.

Night ladies!

• Nates, the most expensive part of our trip was the airfare. We backpacked and stayed at hostels. We made sandwiches and had granola bars for breakfast. We would go to a park and get street food or cook at the hostel for dinner. It was cheap, and we met so many cool people. I loved it!
Awesome pics, Mehg! I loved Edinburgh, I thought it felt like a fairy tale, which I know is lame, but it's true. I just wish I could have spent more time there and gone to the highlands! ETA: I was not a fan of Glasgow. At all. We might not have given it much of a chance, but it wasn't my fave.
Posted by lindseyann410
I think the only things I'd be really interested in doing in Glasgow is catching a concert and getting rip-roarin' drunk. I didn't really drink much when I was in Scotland back then (maybe a beer with lunch, and then a couple beers while playing chess on my last night there). I will say this though: Scotland made me into a beer drinker. I hated it before I went, but fell in love with it when I was there. Tenants was my favorite, but I also love Carlsburg now, too.

• Night, Mehg!

Who was the guy who did Lestat in QOTD? I wonder how Tom Cruise felt about that, having done the role so well and really brought it to life, and here's this guy who just sexes it up and looks broody. I mean, Lestat was sexy/broody, but also scary and full of life. That guy was full of abs.
• Seriously?! They just previewed another Ghost Rider movie.

• I'm in a reading funk right now. I'm supposed to be reading Pride and Prejudice for my book club, but I don't wanna! *stomps foot!* bI am, however, reading the first Stephanie Plum and it's enjoyable. I crack up when they talk about her spandex and cassette tapes. Also, I made a great dinner. Quinoa and chickpea stuffed green peppers. I just sort of winged it and it turned out yummy. Now I'm played referee to my cat and dog who seem to have it out for each other tonight.

That's our usual travel MO, too, so that's good to know. I just have SO many places I want to see in the world. It's crazy.

Except China. I really have no desire at all to go to China. I mean, if someone gave me a free trip, I'd totally take it, but I'm just totally apathetic.
• He was terrible. God that movie was terrible.
• amy, I love that series. It's absolutely hilarious, but I do feel like she started running out of material after book 10.

• I really hated QOD. My friend was OBSESSED with the movie and claimed it was the best movie ever, so I watched it and it was just godawful.

• P.S. Apathetic was my class's word of the week. It feels like someone just said Peewee's Super-Secret Word.

• See, I read the first Stephanie Plum and while I didn't find it horrible, I couldn't get into it. I just hated the heavy-handed ZOMG I"M A JERSEY GIRL LOLOLOL vibe. I imagine Stephanie Plum getting Bubble Yum stuck in her hair, if she really lived here. It sucks, because I have I think all ten of the book files and I really wanted to like them.

I'm rereading a lot of the books I loved as a kid, to get book recs for my kids.

That's what I've heard as well. Luckily I'm on book 1, so I have a few to enjoy still.

Has anyone read Marching Powder? Great book.

• Kd- Not sure what you've done to it, (I didn't see the before pic) but I would paint the trim white and add a pretty shelf above the door. Then put a nice plant up there with some decorative candles or something. I think that would spruce it up a lot.

I want to go camping, but N is dead set against it. He's probably right in tht i can't handle it.

Veggie, thanks! It actually isn't, but they kind of set it up to look that way. For our video, they had me come up behind him and surprise him. I wonder how that's going to play out. I love this pic of him, though. He's standing like he's too cool.

I'm bad at this, but I like the idea of another green, if you can bring paint samples home and try them out. Or a contrasting color. I saw this beautiful entryway on Pinterest that was like eggplant and green.
