  • I flame xyrius for totally missing the point of my post in the BM gift thread and responding as if I were saying I cared about what the gift is because I wanted it to be something cool and thought I deserved a cool gift. That's not what I was saying at all.

I'm still kind of hung over.  I do flame that girl asking in the WP present thread for the history of a rule she intends to violate.

Negative. As told earlier in the thread, Ghoti made a big point in FFF to say "Do you know how to pronounce my name????" and I make an AE as a joke because I thought that was obnoxious and that she's annoying.

I'm surprised by the hostility in this, but you're entitled to your opinion.

That is not what I meant by the connection - but I'm not going to bother explaining - because it won't change your opinion of me.

I also find it interesting that Jill#s said she bought matching clutches for her bridesmaids in grey/yellow a few threads below this, but that's not flameworthy (It shouldn't be, just wondering why I'm singled out).

If you don't like me, just say so.  I'm a big girl, I can handle it.

<div>I didn't comment in that thread, and didn't see Jills post either.  I am one of the first to say that as a BM I appreciate gifts that save money on the wedding, and that's what's normally done in my hometown/social circle.  But even I got nanoyed by your post.  Emily was explaining that it's not about getting a gift, it's about the thought behind it, and your defense was basically "well I did it so I think it's fine."  I did it too, but I would never say it's okay for everyone to do, because clearly many people don't feel the same way.  </div><div>
</div><div>And really, could you please explain how matching black clutches make them feel connected?  Do they have secret powers like Captain Planet where when they all hold them and put their fists together they have the power to take down bridezilla?  I really don't get it.  </div>

  • I flame my local bump board (I know doing it wrong) It being such a tight knit community it's hard to feel like you are a member of it. Or you become a member and then something gets said you get called out for it and they no longer accept you as part of their community anymore. (I think I'm more just whining but that's what I feel right now)

I also flame myself for always bringing the baby talk to threads.

  • Ciara-- you're always welcome to bring your bump stuff here.  There are more and more Knotties with babies here anyway.  I'm scared of TN/TB and haven't been over to that side at all.
  • I just can't deal with the paranoia on the bump boards, particularly the pregnancy-related ones.  People need to stop freaking the eff out over every stupid thing.  "OMG, I ate some prosciutto- I probably killed my baby!!!!"

I am so in the minority over there.  I eat blue cheese, sushi, lunch meat, soft serve ice cream... whatever I want, really.  And I fully plan on having a glass of wine or a beer a few times over the next 6 months.
