In Response to Re: FFF : Why of course we can! We can even make a forum:) As far as the Cartier thread...some ignorant girl was going off on how the Cartier salesperson would not have a custom rare ring flown from NYC to Canada for her to just look at and see how it looked on her finger. Then she was going to have a jeweler copy the style. Then she talked about all expensive rings coming with a fake CZ copy and of course she thought Cartier should have those copies on hand. And the salesperson was just horrible. Because stores should fly around precious jewels for phone callers who have no intention of purchasing them. She was an imbecile.

I j ust ordered the grey oxford heels hoping they fit. I prefered the Kohls dress but you'd look cute in both.

I love Kohls. Especially for holiday decorations.
  • Kohls is awesome. I just love fashion lol.

Sasch, the only time I wear supportive shoes is when I run lol.

  • Ah right. I remember that. She hadn't even been IN the store, right? She was doing it via phone.

I cannot do the 5 inch ones all the time. Its not my feet but my knees at that point. Do you ever buy Jcrew shoes??
In Response to Re: FFF : Well shoot, what are we supposed to wear? Most of the shoes with support I've seen out there so far are soooo ugly. I wear flip-flops and wedges. Really cute wedges are so hard to find though and most of the shoes I fall inlove with are stilletos. Ugh, it makes me sad that I can't wear them!

I wear Chaco's instead of flippies to walk to work and I really like them.
In Response to Re: FFF : Ditto this. Running shoes are sooo not sexy though!
    Posted by Champagne Supernova
Totally agree. I do, however, really like the new running shoes I just bought. Something about the way my foot lands makes it so there isn't as much pressure on my knees.
  • I love heels and own lots of them. But I only wear them to the office when I know I won't be doing a lot of walking or to dinner where I know I'll be doing a lot of sitting, haha. Otherwise it's cute flats.

  • Thanks for the explanation - I had no idea and think it's dumb. If you want to spend all the money in the world on your e-ring, go for it, but then wear the damn thing. To me the joy is in wearing it every day, not in knowing that I have it locked up somewhere and that it was expensive.

I love heels, but I have crap ankles. Foot pain I can deal with, but my ankles will start to hurt and then oops, I am on the ground. It's not the heel height either, it just depends on the specific shoe - some 4inchers are fine while other 2.5inchers slay me. Which is why I also commute in flats and then put my shoes on right outside the office.

I think she went to one store and they didn't have the ring she wanted. So she called the next store vs. actually going in person. Oh, she was also pissed that they wouldn't give pricing over the phone.
  • Yes I have the quilted ballet flats in ivory. So cute and soft. I think Neiman's still carries them.

I haven't tried J Crew, I only recently started buying their clothes and love the way their tees and tanks fit. I have a pair from Banana Republic and they are pretty comfy. It is the ball of my foot that throbs...even if I add a cushion. And I kind of lied...I am more of a 4 inch heel girl, unless they have a platform, then they are a 5.

Exactly. I don't care what someone's ring costs.....but it doesn't make sense to me to buy it and not wear it ( I'm not talking about reasons where fingers swell, works reasons, etc.). Its supposed to be a sloshy crappy winter this year....so I won't be wearing heels outside much. Probably my rainboots and uggs.
I (jokingly) flame everyone in Belle's post who claim to not know the difference between Belle and Jasmine. That's just sad. "Beauty in the Beast" is the best movie, and "Aladdin" is great, too.
In Response to Re: FFF : What does this even mean? Are you supposed to get a copy of your ring if you buy one at Cartier? Please explain. And TJ, I think your "stock? trading Sesame Street securities?" response was a little harsh. I grew up in a wealthy area, and I remember talking crap about how one girl's dad was supposedly going to buy her a Lambourghini when she turned 16. Obviously she was talking about her family's money, and yes, kids can be just as snotty about that as they can about anything else. Sasha, can we make a thread just to talk about your Manolos? Aprov, yours can come too. Because while name-dropping is bad, they're just so lovely.
    Posted by emilyinchile
if by "harsh" you mean "awesome," I agree, TJ.
  • btw, I'd take some louboutins any day if someone else is buying :)
  • So basically this FFF was about heels, then it was about heels. Crazy!
