But in 1981 it was completely changed (also courtesy of Wikipedia)
In <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_in_television" title="1981 in television">1981</a>, the format of <em>Romper Room</em> was overhauled and re-titled <em>Romper Room and Friends</em>.
Hence, I stand by my original statement that you must have been watching the newer version.

I saw the first hour of it a few months ago on HBO. I haven't seen it in about 10 years, but I think it affects me even more now. I will read just about anything associated with the Holocaust. Have you been the museum?
Is it weird that I don't remember a lot of this stuff? I mean, I was born in 80, so I should but a lot of it I merely have vague memories of. Perhaps it's because we didn't have cable or many TV channels and I was a dork who read all the time? Or... huh. No, really. What DID I do with my childhood?? Because I don't remember at all.
Alvin and the Chipmunks cassette tapes anyone? The first time I heard that Kim Carnes song "Betty Davis Eyes" was the Chipmunks singing. God I love that song. Even the Chipmunks version.

Power Rangers were awesome. And then they started bringing in stupid other rangers. I stopped watching when the Pink Ranger showed up.
I remember fighting with my brother over who got to play Duck Hunt. And cheating by putting the gun right up against the screen. And having to blow into the game when it wouldn't work. GOD Nintendos were so cool.
