He is here all the time. He has a house in St John. Last time I saw him (not singing) was New Years Day. He sitting behind me at dinner. Oddly enough I knew the people he was sitting with and talking to them I didn't even notice him at first.

He does not sing down here anymore (or rarely). But before all the tourists knew he came down here you would see him sitting in on jam sessions with the local artists. A couple of times he would end his tour with a small concert at a local beach bar in St John. Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker would come. It was pretty cool (and free). They did a lot of covers like Living on a Prayer and stuff. It was like a big sing-a-long with only a hundred or so people.

I'm not a modern country fan, but Keith Urban's voice makes my knees weak.
Michael Buble was quite fantastic last night on SNL as well. He's quite awesome.

I've seen Kelly Clarkson live, and she sucks as well. It was painful. I am also a huge Rascal Flatts fan, but they aren't too great live either. I was disappointed.

Alix - He does. His voice is nasally, but it works so well for him and their sound. I love him.

ETA - I saw Carrie in concert w/ Keith and she was pretty good. Not excellent, but still pretty darn good.

Ooh yes, Michael Buble. I love him. And though he's not an on-the-radio artist, Stephen Lynch is really impressive live. Just like his recordings, only better because he adlibs funny things in there. I can definitely see how he made it to Broadway.

I really liked rascal flatts! it might have been I was 1 6 though. I have seen kelly clarkson and I agree my ears hurt....but I don't know if that was because of her singing voice or because she is always so loud...

Dierks Bentley was awesome in concert too. He's such a fun performer. I saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as well - they sounded amazing together.

Kenny is pretty cool. I use to work at the Quiet Mon (the bar in the song Be As You Are) and he was just a normal cool guy. Tourists would give us money to buy him a drink the next time he was in town. It was pretty funny. Like someone who grossed $65 million needs a $2 rum and coke bought for him....

I saw her live when she was on tour with Idol (judge away) and she was fab. I guess I've come to accept performers sounding different live versus recorded though, I just respect anyone who is willing to actually sing live vs lip synching and who can actually play an instrument and write lyrics, so I still love Taylor Swift even if she isn't perfect vocally.

gg, FI and I saw Dierks Bentley up close and personal at a rodeo a couple years ago, he's such a cutie! I agree that it's too much, but whatever. It's his money! I'd never spend it. But it is two big names at one concert, so I can see the big price tag.

i saw her last summer and she does sound amazing live.

most people i've seen in concert have actually sounded pretty great live.one who gave an awful show was katy perry. worst concert i've ever been to.

I've never been able to get through an entire song to see what it's about. Seriously. WORST. VOICE. EVER.

I did hear one of his songs sung at a wedding with just some dude and a guitar, and it was beautiful. But that guy could actually sing. Again, writing songs vs. singing them. Realize your strengths and stop torturing people.

I don't get the Taylor Swift hype either. I mean I certainly don't hate her, I'm sure she's sweet, but I really don't think she's that talented. Also I STILL can't tell the difference between at least 2 of her songs. I think that's a bad sign.
