<div>Remember how you said we all just thought we'd like the cool temps over there? For some reason I didn't process how much colder it was there. I love the weather in England, but at least it gets warm enough to feel like summer. I have to agree that I'd get sick of the cold where you are. </div>

[QUOTE]I really want to run up to the store and get a plastic wading pool. It's pretty outside, and I want to enjoy it with a book or something, but I prefer to do so in icy cool water. The dog could get in it, too.

I don't think Moe will ever enjoy a kiddie pool again.  That's what I made him do physical therapy in when he hurt his back, and he did NOT enjoy it.

A, he has a ridiculous weather station in the garden. Among other things, it measures humidity, temperature, wind speed, and barometric pressure. I believe it's also linked to Weather Underground, so if you're dying to know the exact weather details on my property, you can look it up.

And may I just say that regarding weather:

People biiitch far too often about the freakin' weather. When it's the "winter" months in Houston, it's like, in the 30s-40s, if that, and everyone is like, "OMG IS IT SUMMER YET?!? I'M FREEEEEZING!!!!1!11!!!"

And now that it's hot outside, everyone is like, "OMG IT'S SO HOT I'M DYING!!!!1111!!!!!"

People just whine about the most ridiculous things.

I agree with this.  This fall when it hits like 50, people will start complaining that it gets cold.  It will get much colder, but it is usually the beginning.  Then this spring when it hits 50 everyone will be in shorts, skirts, and dresses.  It is a lose-lose situation with the weather.

Its nice right now in Boston, but its going to get hot and humid tomorrow and over the weekend.  I think New Englanders have perfected a special method of complaining about the weather one moment and praising it the next.

My office mates are streaming the Italy-Germany game and projecting it onto the wall.  I don't have much intereste in it (not because its soccer, but because it isn't the US or the UK) so I feel that gives me the right to knot all afternoon.

Confession: temperature-wise, I am not happy unless it's between 55 and 85. At the low end, I can wear sweaters. I like sweaters. At the high end, I can drink next to a pool (or in the pool).

Anything below 55 makes me extremely grouchy. I have a circulation issue, and it gets worse when it's cold. Above 85? Well, I want to die. I also don't cool myself very efficiently, get dehydrated easily, and am at a high risk for heat exhaustion (ahem, yesterday).

I am one of those whiny people, though I usually whine about it to my H.

Snippy, will it make you happy to know that I thought of you when talking with a friend on FB about IKEA, since you live in Sweden?

Or will it make you happy to know that I am about to bury my face in a bowl of spaghetti, even though I just had 2 Eggo waffles about 2 hours ago?

Ok, probably neither will make you happy. At least I tried?

Snippy, he got in the pool at doggie camp, so I hope he'll at least stand in this one. I don't think he likes getting his taint wet, so he may not go all the way in. Sorry folks. TMI. But yes, I will take about a million photos of him.

Yeah, we don't really fight over it either.  We like a lot of the same things, andplusalso, I think FI just lets me win.  Embarassed

Froggie, same situation here. There's one show on the DVR that he doesn't like (What Not to Wear) and a few of his that I don't like.

And thank you. :) There's a few pro ones I'd like to use but they're only up on his website so far and you can't copy them.

I've got H watching Gossip Girl with me.  I think we see who wears the pants when it comes to the remote.  Although to be fair, I've suffered through some terrible movies that he's put in the Netflix queue.
