Re: TGIS

  • Good morning ladies.

I'm up and Ariel already.  I hate morning parties.

Hope all of you sick/under the weather/out of commision ones get well soon

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: TGIS : I don't think it's worth it in the least, to put your life on hold, unless teaching english is something that will benefit you in the future.  My experience was horrible because of where I was living, the fact that I couldn't work, and so many other things. Plus, it's insanely difficult to live there. Insanely. It might be easier if you were living in one of the main cities, Florence, Rome, Milan. But I hear it's much the same everywhere. It's like... the beauracracy, the day to day living is jusst so hard. Everything is a major struggle. But, that's as far as I'll take it here. :)

  • Morning! I am debating whether or not to go to the farmer's market right now. I don't really want to move.

H and I have a wedding to go to today. It's at 2:30, on the beach, and it's supposed to be like 99 degrees. I sort of want to go naked haha. I wish I at least had a parasol to bring. It's gonna be flipping hot.

  • Good morning, ladies!

I have very few plans today. Just the grocery store and maybe planting some corn.  It's too hot to weed the flower beds. Maybe I will get to those this evening.  Hopefully the text book I need for Monday will arrive today. I'd really like to read ahead of the syllabus.

  • The Ariel reference. Geez girl, get some coffee in you!
  • Eagles just make sure you get a Disney Princesses card.  Always appropriate.

Hi ladies.  I'm being lazy this morning but need to go out and weed whack soon before it gets too hot.  I think temps alone are supposed to hit 100 today, so I can't even imagine what the heat index will be.  My poor dogs are not happy with my limiting their time outside, so they are more than ready for this heat to break.

  • With my vast (and I truly do mean vast) experience with small children and princesses, I can confidentally state that one year olds do not have a fucck to give about no princesses.
  • Absolutely Eagles.  A gift doesn't have the same heartfelt meaning without a theme.

  • I just made a huge baked pancake for H and me.  He liked it so much he stole most of my serving.
  • Baked pancake? Explain please.

I'm having a Blizzard for breakfast. Nutritious? Not so much. Satisfying? Uh huh.
  • What's a baked pancake?
  • Morning ladies.  It's only supposed to be 93 here today.  But it's only 0930 and already it's 90.  My dogs aren't happy either Beach.  Beefy was playing in the landscaping sprinklers this morning when I took them out.  This is supposed to be the last day - tomorrow and next week are supposed to be in the low 80s.

They sort of souffle-up in the oven, then collapse afterwards so that they are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

We got BB one not long before she turned one and it's been a hit!  It's educational and keeps her occupied while we're preparing dinner.

  • Good morning, ladies. I have my first meeting with a possible venue today, and I am very excited and nervous. I'm scared that i'll forget to ask something important.

And I am so over this heat. It can leave the 90s/100s aaaanytime, now.

  • I need to figure out a way to protect my tomato plants from birds and rodents. My first one that was almost ripe got eaten and I'm ticked. I need to figure out something with chicken wire I guess, but I need to be able to access the plants.

    Good morning ladies.

I think cash for a college fund is a great idea.  Last weekend I went to a one year old's b-day party and grandmama told me  baby needs diapers.  I felt pretty stupid wrapping up a big old box of diapers.  I asked about giving cash, but evidently baby would never see it.  Young parents...
  • Good Morning!
When H gets up we're going to go to Home Depot to get some fertilizer for my flowers. I don't know that it's going to do any good, it's just too hot here..I think they're going to die.

I'm watching this show called Unfaithful on the OWN network. I can't believe that people would actually put thier crap out there like this.

  • Daff, could you use some kind of netting? Like mosquito net? Or would they just chew through? I think that's what my BIL uses for his blueberry bushes
  • Jill - one of my patients told me to use human hair.  Gross, but if you clean out your brush, she said just lay it around the base and they'll smell 'human' and not bother it.  Not sure if it really works, but she swears by it and it's free :)
