  • haha i don't know how DNB does it. A lot of my ish today is built up from almost 2 weeks of J being gone and like barely once a day brief conversation. I'd be a raging b!tch all the time if he was gone for months.

    *roars*

Anyway. Yeah. knotting while driving is pathetic. IDGAF if you are "stopped" in traffic. To need to knot while you are doing something as important as driving is just too much.

  • I like when people talk about things that give TK a long memory.  I'm ok with bringing up dead topics, letting posts never die if they're good, or beating the dead horse repeatedly.  But, as I've confirmed I like the entertainment value that it brings.

I know better than to talk about anything that could be used against me later, you learn that early on.  If someone can't figure that ish out - sorry for ya.  Fair game. ALL OF IT.

I just don't think that makes sense.   Also, in the dog marriage thread, OOT was acting crazier than usual. Then she started backpedaling and saying she didn't say what she said.

And then she wouldn't answer anyone's questions about it.

    Very strange.
  • crfb87/Chrissy has always rubbed me the wrong way.  I feel like she has never expressed an original thought in any etiquette-related thread, she just spouts the party line that's been spouted ad nauseum.  And I find her judgmental and a bit holier-than-thou.

<div>But shouldn't you have read the thread, saw there were no attacks and no issues against TOS so no reason to ban? If she was reading it herself while driving (idiot) then why couldn't she do the ban herself? She was only in a traffic jam, after all.</div><div>

I didn't see any of this on CC but I have to say, why wouldn't you check the thread yourself if Lucy said something was going on. Even if she did just say "Ban soandso", I'd think logic would dictate checking yourself first.

Yea, if anything I'd flame the ban for the fact that we can't read the original thread now!!!  Odds are the person would have gotten banned eventually, but let us read the drama!
  • Yeah I don't think you can ban on TK mobile yet. Not that I ban much on my board anyway because people are pretty sedated. But still. I get checking your phone momentarily in traffic but not logging on and perusing the internet. WTF. I just think that takes way too much concentration. Maybe its because I've had 3 idiots hit me when they weren't doing anything with phones that makes me nervous that people actually do that shiiit.

I'm trying not to be rude or nice to her, I'm just ignoring her. Although in the beginning I did say some mean things.
  • Edie, I needed to vent more than I needed to avoid being flamed again, so I vented.

And re: complaining about working. I want to work, but I want to work a normal work day. 12 or 13 hours straight with an infant and a toddler who aren't yours is a lot. Sure, I signed up for it this week, but it was still difficult and not something I'd want to do on a regular basis.

I don't think I have any flames at the moment.

OP was having wedding related arguments with her dad. She got advice on how to disengage and not turn into a 9 year old whenever she talks to him, she then got pissed and started insisting that she was so mature and everyone was totally wrong about her need to be right all the time, and was probably inches from losing her sh!t, but then Edie banned her prematurely.

Nothing banworthy happened in the thread, for the record.

But that's what I don't get.  One week you were complaining about not having enough money (hence not working enough hours), and then when you do get the hours, you complain that it's not a "normal" work day.  In this situation, I would say beggars can't be choosers.
  • If I did do something illegal like text and drive, I wouldn't post about it on the place where no one ever forgets. And I wouldn't use it as an excuse for doing something dumb.

But I have to go to work so if I don't respond that's why.

This is pretty freakin' rude.  I was a moderator for about two and a half months, and in that time I only banned two people.  There is a lot more to being a mod than just banning people.

Andplusalso, when there are two mods and both are available, it's pretty standard to "clear" it with the other mod, because you have to go up the TK ladder and report any bannings, and it's better to know that the other moderator will verify that your choice to ban was a good one.

No, but it is your job to use logic and common sense and not run to big sister when someone gets their hackles up. I still can't believe that you pre-emptively banned someone, for something they didn't even fucking do! Misunderstanding or not, that doesn't lend to your credibility as a logical poster.
