I didn't put words in your mouth. But "go away" doesn't equal the same level of bullying (AT ALL) as saying my husband is better off dead. I don't think the "go away" one really was that bad. Worse things have been said not through kpsco.

Thanks Blueeyed, I've been around longer than you have.
I wasn't trying to get involved with this or take sides, I was just trying to set it straight that yes, you CAN be indicted and convicted for things you post online. As to whether one comment or another amounts to ahrassment is a case by case issue. That's why we have trials and juries. But under the law, electronic harassment is posting something "with the intent to harass or annoy." To me, the entire point of the call out site, at least at the beginning, was to make posters feel bad about themselves or to get them to leave the boards.

I think you just helped me prove my point by saying that TK bans people all the time. They do that in attempt to avoid litigation. While you probably couldnt sue TK, they would 100% be drawn in in regards to discovery and I'm sure they'd rather avoid that.

Again, thats not what I said. I said those 2 would fall into the definition of "cyber whatever". Now if you are going to tell me there are different levels of the law then fine. Im not sure what you are getting at. I think the consensus is (and has been) that you win for "most horrible thing said about them". I dont know what else you want or why you keep pushing the point that what was said to you was so much worse. We already agree on that.

My intent wasn't to defend her (which I realize is exactly what's happening anyway) because I don't even like her. My intent was to add some logic and reason to a topic that seems to be so taken over by groupthink and confirmation bias that it's turned into a witch hunt. But I should have known that would go over about as well as a lead balloon, because I know that logic and reason aren't well tolerated here.

That's fair. I lurk a lot and never really feel like I have a lot ot contribute, but I could contribute to this one, I posted. I haven't been around forever.

Again, I think peoplehave been plenty mean on the boards. I've been around for some of the threads your talking about. I was only saying that E and SB get called "mean" literally every day and about 99% of that is harmless (or sarcasm). But the point is, TK probably can't get in trouble because they banned Frankie, or Amoro, and E's AEs but not MrsE herself (or whatever name she was under when she GBCK'd).

I'm not here to tell you that what one person said is worse than what the other said, I was sinply saying that a lot of those things could be considered harassment the way the law is written.
