The eye rolling part is that whoever had me told tide they had a "tracking number" and was "looking into it," yet has never revealed themselves to me to say "Oh, sorry for the mix up!" It would have been way less lame to just say "Yeah, I didn't send anything, sorry."</div><div>

[QUOTE]I haven't noticed a lot going on, but I want to echo something dani said a day or so ago, about people automatically jumping on new posters in a biitchy way, before they're given a chance to prove themselves to be an idiot. Being biitchy for the sake of being biitchy isn't funny. Being hilariously biitchy to someone who is lacking the mental prowess to get your brilliant witticisms IS funny. Jumping on someone simply because you don't recognize their name and they ask a question that's been asked before isn't funny. Jumping on someone because they're new and have a super special unique reason why they need to ask for cash on their invites and refuse to listen to polite advice about how rude that will be IS funny.

TJ, I agree with this in principle, but I wish there were some examples (this is FFF, after all). I noticed Dani mentioned this right after the CA2MTslkdfj thing, and I have an uneasy feeling you guys are talking about me, except I wasn't trying to be bitchy. I know, "I'm doing it wrong."

I can't see pictures at work, but you've got the line Sig Challenge, so I'm assuming you're doing it?

I like siggy challenges, it helps countdown the time. I don't do them anymore though, I got off my month board.

This is the one I was specifically referring to the other day.  It was completely rude and unnecessary and now that chick is going to have a negative view of us as a whole.

</div><div>I'm not talking about anyone specific. I honestly haven't even registered any specific names, of regulars or new posters. It's just an annoying trend in general. </div><div>
</div><div>Like when someone posts for the very first time and says something like "How do I ask my bridesmaids?" and someone immediately replies "UM, why don't you use your WORDS? Like a GROWN UP?" (totally made up example, seriously) That's just unnecessary. Give the person a chance to prove herself to be a moron before she's treated like one, that's all I'm saying.

This whole thing was ridiculous, I steered clear. People channled their inner super-bitches for no apparent reason and it didn't look good on the people doing the flaming as she did, in fact, have a legitimate concern.

  • Dani that post annoyed me too because I was really trying to give her some ideas.
  • Oh god we've got a live one in the thread above this.
AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers
  • Exactly, and that's why it pissed me off.  Like TJ was saying, sure be a bitch to someone who posts about their pretty princess day that Daddy won't pay for, fine.  But this was a legitimate dilemma and even though she didn't ask a specific question, it was pretty clear and she wasn't saying anything stupid.  It has just been happening a lot lately and I get sick of it.  People complain when there are no newbs around for new things to talk about but then they are mean to the legitimate newbs who do come around.  It doesn't make sense.

  • Salt, little brimclueless had an entire post on DIY about how much fun she had designing her own (barf) monogram, and she decided she's a great graphic designer, and she'll start building her business by doing monograms for people for free, and then she'll be a full-on graphic designer with her magical PaintPro. I can't find it now, and I think she may have deleted it after people called her a dumbass, but here's a post referencing it:
