Hello!
I'm at the school gym, wasting time before I have to go pick up a friend from the jail.
I told him I wouldn't pay his bail but I would come get him when he got out, thinking it would be 6-8 in the morning..you know a resonable time? But no. They release at midnight, and it could be until 2 am before he gets processed out. Hopefully if they know I'm waiting they'll scoot him to the front of the line.

I'm going to toot my own horn and say:
I'm an awesome friend.

What did he do? And good for you not paying his bail.

I told my dad if he EVER gets arrested (I'm waiting, believe me) he'd better have money stashed because 1) I'm not taking a bond out, and 2) There's no way in hell I'm paying for his fuck-up.

Holy crap Les. Tell me you guys get paid for this. Our Security staff doesn't get paid time and a half, unless it's "approved" and signed by the Director. So, half the time, they stay an extra hour because of an arrest, and they get paid the same amount. It's crap.

Ironically, I don't do tax work. I haven't even finished our own taxes. I work in a regulated industry, and we have a very large filing due to the government on Monday. Then we have to get right into first quarter reporting, so it won't get better until the end of May.

CCF, now I have to hunt down Anna. I want an awesome sig pic! Btw, your pic makes me smile and also jumpy in my stomach, since I'm going to start training soon for the Alcatraz swim!

I didn't know of any particular drama about KPS, but I was just surprised to see it up and running after so long, and I wondered if there was a story behind it. Good for Fishy for bringing it up!

He didn't pay his traffic tickets. Seriously He's in for
Not wearing a seat belt
not having insurance
Failing to display plates (or license)
Failure to signal turn left
Failure to stop at a desginated point AND
Running a red light.

Seriously, Just pay your effing tickets. Hopefully he still has his jobs when he gets out.

My parents always told me when I was younger that if I ever went to jail for something ridiculous that they would make me sit in there and that they would under no circumstances come get me. I think that's why I stayed out of jail....lol

EXCEPT we're assuming all his property was released to his co-worker to care for his pets...so he has no money for a cab. and I'm just praying that this co-worker is still going to be up so he can get the keys to his apartment. Otherwise he's going to have to crash on the floor in my living room...

Wow, crash... I didn't know they'd actually send you to jail for that. Then again, I'm absolutely paranoid about paying things on time, so I guess I'm safe!

Les, that really blows. I can't believe that they don't pay you for that much overtime. A few hours here and there I could see, but 300?!? I know you said you don't do tax stuff, but I still want to hug you. We filed with my parents' CPA of 20 years, and he got us back our entire credit card balance. I want to hug them all.

It took FOR-EV-ER after I paid bail for the person in jail to be released. We had no idea when he would get out, it ended up being around 9 at night.
