Wakey wakey eggs and bakey

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!

I thought I'd sleep in this morning, but I didn't reset the alarm clock, and by the time I tried to reprogram it this morning, I was too awake to try to sleep in.  Hmph.

My dog is being ridiculously cute and needy this morning, the by product of us being away this weekend.  Poor little thing.

Re: Wakey wakey eggs and bakey

  • Good morning. Sorry you couldn't sleep in!

FI is off today and usually leaves before me so I've had to be extra quiet this morning. It's really annoying haha
  • Looks like you and me are the early birds, Mica!
  • Good morning. I just finished the shopping list. I'm waiting for the POD people to come pick up our container. Then I'm headed to the grocery store and spending the rest of the day trying to unpack.

  • Yay for the move, MK!

Aleigh, H usually leaves for work after me, so I'm used to being quiet in the morning.  It does suck.

Ugh, it's so darned cold right now.  What's with the cold spell, Florida?  It was warmer in San Francisco than it is currently in Tampa.  That's just not right.
  • Oh hai! I just got back from lunch. If I post in the AM, I usually do it right before I go, then I have a half hour before I can obsessively check to see if anyone has responded. :)

I'm having an annoying morning so far. People trying to give me things that they don't need to and I'm hearing that my boss has promised me for something that I 1) categorically do not want to do and 2) I should absolutely NOT be asked to do. So. We'll see how that plays out.

    Heeeey Monday. Pfffftttthhhh.
  • Is it tacky to wear socks with flats if I'm wearing dress pants?
  • What kind of socks and what kind of flats?

Morning, Snips!  I hate it when work does that.
  • I just went outside to start my car and when I walked in I heard Erik yell Babe! so I walked into the bedroom and he goes, did you leave? have you left yet? No. I went to start my car. Oh good I thought you left.

If I'm standing in the bedroom talking to you, did I really leave?
  • Mica it is freezing here. We had 60 degree temps all January, and on Saturday, when the POD was delivered it decided to rain and eventually snow. That was pretty miserable. I'm just hoping the sun decides to shine today. I can handle the cold as long as the sun is shining.

  • Morning. I have the most annoying hiccups and I'm trying to keep my mouth shut otherwise they sound goofy. It's karma for years of making fun of my mom's parrot-like hiccups. Now I sound like her.

It is effing cold here. I had to turn the heat on for the first time this winter and I think the bedroom unit is already broken. Wonderful. It breaks down at least once or twice a season. I hate this house.
  • Sesh, I need to know how cold is "effing cold" for you.  Not so I can judge you, because I totally get that cold to you guys is totally different than cold to us, but I'm always curious what people in warmer states think is cold!  I love seeing the differences between how people in different areas think the weather feels.

  • Ha! JK, I was thinking the same thing!!  It was so cold this morning that people who don't have engine warmers on their cars couldn't get their cars started. Yeaaahhh...

Cfas, I have a love hate relationship with that show. (I haven't seen last nights and not sure I'm totally caught up either) Some of the episodes have been downright ridiculous. Like the whole kid caught in the mine episode? Yeah. I had to wait a couple of weeks before I could watch it again after that. It just annoyed me.  But how can you love Rumplestiltskin?! HE'S THE BAD MAN.

Anything below 75 is cold to me, but last night it was around 42 when I went to bed and the low was 23 overnight. That is way too cold for me. My hands and feet were numb so I had to turn on the heat and a heater blanket.

And I'm the same way about the heat. To me, 90* is perfectly comfortable but to others they feel like they are baking.
  • Oh man. I don't like anything above 80, really. 90 is way too much.

But I'll give you a pass on that.  That's decently cold enough to say it's cold ;)

[QUOTE]For all you Once Upon a Time fans -- Did you see last night's episode?! Holy crap! It was probably the best one of the season. It made me love Rumple/Mr. Gold even more. I'm so obsessed with this show. Sesh -- Sorry about your heat. :-/  I hope you can get it fixed soon.

I think last night's was the best so far. I'm getting tired of the Snow/Price storyline so they need to hurry up and get that one over with, but the Rumple storyline was awesome. Even though he's the bad guy (well, one of them) I totally love him. He's by far my favorite character.
  • I am hoping today goes fast. I do not feel so good. I am afraid I have whatever H has. Who is sleeping in at home btw. Screw you flu.

  • Well fine. I normally let my shows build up over the week so I have something to do on the weekend, but looks like I'll have to check it out tonight then.
  • Well, if they stay true to the fairy tale (as true as it can be, all things considered), then you'd think he must find out about it eventually. Happily ever after and all that.

I wonder if Ariel is introduced soon since the queen said something about "a little mermaid" to Rumple. But it was off-hand, so I don't know.
  • Damn it's 25* where H is right now, with a high of only 39*. That settles it. I can never ever live up north.
  • 25 degrees here in western NY.  We are under 8 inches of snow,  The roads are not bad so I do not mind.  Mica how was your whirlwind trip to see your parents?  I bet they were glad to have you back if only for a while.
  • Morning. I just got home from the gym. H left the tv on last night so I didn't get a great night's sleep. I'm really looking forward to my bed tonight. But H got me a new wedding band and I get to pick it up today. Super excited!
  • Good morning!

I dId NOT see last nights OUAT yet!  H and I didn't get home from MA until around 9 PM last night so we're going to watch it tonight after dinner.  I can't wait.

And it is like 27 degrees out today up here and walking to work sucked.  The cold I can handle, but it is windy as all hell out there and that was what made it difficult.

  • Weren't there two shows that came out at the same time that were about fairy tales? Oh and hai guys.
  • LTB - I don't mind humidity. I welcome it most days. I never understood when my family would come down from NY and bitch about how humid it was since to me it felt wonderful. I'm sure it's the same as when I went up to NY and bitched about how cold it was when they were all wearing shorts and I was bundled up.
  • I'm going to try and post my good morning again because it looks like TK deleted my other two.  Although with my luck, all three will post in a row now.

Good morning, everyone!  I have NOT seen last night's OUAT yet, H and I are going to watch it tonight.

  • It's still in the 30s right now.  Ugh.  I'm freezing.

Ski -- it was great, although I'm so tired now.  We spent 30 hours in SF.  14 were sleeping, 3 were getting the baggage, rental car, then dropping off the rental car and checking-in/waiting in the airport.  So we had 13 hours of real time.  We had lunch with my parents and grandparents, then I went for a long walk and coffee with my sister, then I had dinner with my parents while H worked.  And that was it.

It's sort of perfect doing condensed visits like that because it was so short, I want to see them all again soon.  During the long visits, my mother and I start to drive each other nuts or my sister starts feeling jealous of the attention I receive.
  • You FL girls complaining about the cold, STOP!!  I love it when it's cold a few days. :P

Morning!! I'm that much closer to vacation/seeing TR/seeing Adamar.
