Morning, shoogs!

Re: Morning, shoogs!

  • Sco- I didn't see a link, but I googled it . It looks good. I think I've tried it before and FI was not happy with the dry chicken. Perhaps I should add a little olive oil.

There are tons of recipes for summer crockpot dishes! Who knew! Crockpot and summer aren't two things that go together in my eyes.

Also, if you want to be lazy, buy a family size frozen lasagna, frozen buttered garlic bread and vegetable steamers that pop in the microwave. Dinner w/o hassle!

Yeah, that's really really gross. I can't imagine 5 mos let alone 5 years. ICK!
  • Ew, 5 years?! I don't even keep my sheets longer than a year, usually. I know we may not wash ours super often (every other week), but I defintiely wouldn't go 5 years. Blech. I bet she doesn't wash her bras either.

    <div>
</div><div>Ewww. I am not a housekeeper at all and I wash the sheets at least every 2 weeks, if not more. When I first met FI, he was paying a wash n fold place to do his laundry, and it never occurred to him to wash the sheets very often, because they weigh so much. He bought some really expensive white sheets for the first time I stayed over there, and then didn't wash them for about 3 months. Once I took them to my house to wash them, they were already stained from sweat. Its gross. I tried everything to get the stains out, but nothing worked. He refuses to get rid of them because they cost so much. Gross!</div>

  • Ugh, why would you buy white? My mom bought us ivory sheets, and I have no idea why. I've always bought dark colors. I'm not trying to hide stains, but even when you go to bed clean, they get discolored.

  • We buy dark, too. And tshirt sheets to boot! Because we have pets and they're cheap as sh!t to buy. J finally broke down and bought a really nice set of high thread count silk-type sheets. They're cool, comfy and ripped. Why are they ripped? One of our cats tried to jump up on the bed and fell off. In the middle of falling off, he got a newly clipped claw stuck in the sheets. OOOOo J was livid!!! It happened the first day we got them (after we washed them, of course!).
  • Aren't pets fun?!

My cat slammed into our laptop screen at 100 miles an hour and broke the LCD, we had to send it out to Dell for repairs. Then Friday night he wanted a wrapper from an ice cream bar (he likes crinkly paper) that I put into my water glass that was on the counter. Breaking the glass, DH favorite glass. Oh, and a few weeks before the computer fiasco, he came running into the living room tried to get to the back of the couch.........my face was in the way, he almost broke my nose.

I told him it's like having a child in the house.

  • Morning!

I'm...packing, surprise, surprise.  We have now entered the paper plate and plastic cup time in preperation to move.

  • Yeah, after my darling Paisley managed to dig a whole through the sheet and into the mattress, I don't buy expensive sheets anymore. I have a feeling that until any future children are about 10, we won't have expensive bedding.

  • Kd! That's hilarious! Only because I feel your pain. I accidentally left my laptop open while taking a shower earlier this week. When I got out, I was missing the V key on my keyboard. Gotta love cats.

My cat Otto LOVES all things crinkly, including plastic. He eats plastic. If you want to read a magazine before he gets to it, you need to hide it. Otherwise you won't have much to read, but a pile of mess to look at.

And Brookelyn, I'm with ya on that. No more expensive bedding. Tshirt sheets from Target work just as nice.

    Morning, Sookie!!
  • Between the cats and my husband, I'm convinced that we're not allowed to own anything nice, ever again.

Oh, not related to anything, but I'm apparently stressing over BIL's wedding. I had a dream last night that I yelled at him to stand up for himself to FSIL if he doesn't want to wear a tux.

  • I didn't get up until 11:20. We went to bed at 10:30 and I took a sleeping pill, but I still slept like sh!t. My insomnia is getting worse, for some reason I only sleep soundly when the sun is up. I think I woke up 7 times last night and I'm exhausted.

I'm debating whether or not to go to the store. Meanwhile, I"m editing a paper for someone while H plays video games. He's also debating whether or not to go to work. My vote is to stay home and give me a back massage, but I doubt that will happen.

I think it's a combination of things. I've had sleeping issues since I was a kid (used to sleepwalk even) and for awhile I had bad nightmares, which have mostly gone away since being with H. Right now I'm worried about a doc appointment on Tuesday, trying to figure out my book, and scared the hell out of myself watching The Fourth Kind. So yeah, my mind won't shut the eff off.
  • How scary *was* The Fourth Kind? I'm terrified, but intrigued by the previews.

I'm waiting for Fi to finish work so we can go out for Mexican. Yay, Margaritas!
  • Hi everyone!

I was debating doing Tae Bo or running, but since Sco said it was hot I'm voting for staying inside my AC'd house all day long so Tae bo it is.

We got this comforter for our bedroom yesterday so I woke up at 9:30 then sat in bed for a few hours just being content with how our house is shaping up.

Demon is done with her meds today too, so no more medicating her or worrying about what her insides are doing yay! Scott is all happy because he got to ride his bike to work today too so hopefully he'll be in a good mood when he comes home.

TB is crazy....I hopped onto their TTC board once and ran away. It was just millions of people going "look at my chart and tell me what to do". Um, charting is not that hard people, go research it and call your doctor if you are being wacky and they can help you.

Salt tried to talk me into getting it on Friday. But I was busy gabbing on the phone with her and DH just picked up something else and dragged me out. Any DVD cover with a person floating over a bed is not for me.
